So I bought the RTL-SDR V3 dongle and the blog antenna. Downloaded the sdr sharp and JAERO. a few others needed VB-Cable and Zadig. After some youtube how to I figured it out. Pretty cool setup! I did not expect how well it works. My friends think I passed the geek line. Oh well? :)

I was always going to buy that antenna, but felt it was too high priced. Are you getting good RX on Inmarsat? Is the antenna outside?

Very cool. Are you using the Patch antenna?

Yes I bought the RTL-SDR blog antenna V2. Connected with 50 ft run of KMR240 coax I found on Amazon. The RTL gets warm so I added heat sinks I had left over from a Pi project.

Pics of temp setup. I probably won’t set this up on my house yet. I want to get out camping and try different places. Plus you can aim at different sats in the sky.
