I looked at the license I hope they pay attention to the expiration date 11/09/2024On the new P25 I have logged about 30 radios and at least 6 TGs. No real voice activity yet.

I think there is only one control channelI'm only getting one control channel unfortunately.
The database shows multiple ones so that's why I was mentioning itI think there is only one control channel
The database shows the freqs that the system may use as control channels in the event of a failure or maintenance.The database shows multiple ones so that's why I was mentioning it
You might not have captured any traffic on a talkgroup but the control channel tells you if the system is online or not.Interesting, my recordings have captured nothing from Acrisure Stadium on the DMR system. TG 52 is the UPMC Training Facility which is not at the stadium. So I am not surprised that one is still active. See below:
You need to be pretty much at the stadium to hear the new NXDN system.
Right, but in this case Pgh DPW and Acrisure Stadium shared the same DMR system. Now Acrisure has left and has their own NXDN trunked system. Pgh DPW is still using the system, so it never went off the air. It is interesting right now that both the new P25 and the DMR system are sharing the same freqs and both systems are active. I have seen activity from the P25 using the same freqs as the DMR. I never expected that.You might not have captured any traffic on a talkgroup but the control channel tells you if the system is online or not.
Agreed. I heard the words refuge come across a few times. Question tho. How do you know it's their "base station" And how did you know that it was "supervisors" and not just Motorola radio technicians etc. Just curious how you learn this info without physically being there watching them.I think we can confirm that this system is for at least Pgh DPW. My recordings for today revealed tests from the Refuse Dept base station and several tests with Public Works Supervisors.
On which talkgroups though? If you can be specific I can add them to the db...I think we can confirm that this system is for at least Pgh DPW. My recordings for today revealed tests from the Refuse Dept base station and several tests with Public Works Supervisors.
26615 said "Refuge to mark" all other tg's were just going "Radio check 12345 54321" 26611 was just one second key up nothing else came through.On which talkgroups though? If you can be specific I can add them to the db...
First off I should correct myself. On my recordings they said "ES Base" which is Environmental Services, better known as Refuse.Agreed. I heard the words refuge come across a few times. Question tho. 26606 = Environmental ServicesOn which talkgroups though? If you can be specific I can add them to the db...
Ok, I added them. Please update if it becomes clearer what each group is actually for or if a name is heard while testing. I'm sure once radios are programmed and out into the hands of the workers we'll get a full update of each proper group name.26606 = Environmental Services
26604 = Public Works
Keep in mind this comes from a very small sample size so this could change in the end product
More testing today. I feel fairly confident that 26604 and 26606 are correct based on the tests today. Also 26609 = Traffic Control was also doing testsOk, I added them. I would but I think I'm outta range in bethelIf anyone can check the Acrisure system tonight since the is a Pitt game.....
