Yep powdered coated it..
Looks good sir, if the Larsen isn't doing well for the V71a, get a NMO 2/70B, It's a 1/2 wave on VHF and a 5/8 over 5/8 on UHF. I used one for many years when I had a V71a. It will match the EMWave as it's black. It's about 3' tall.

yes sir, I'm trying to stay low right now it clears my 10' garage door and should be a issue off road, its 100" from the ground at the tip

I had mine in the centre of the roof of a F350, drilled and permanently installed. It was regularly used off highway, in the oilfield of western and northern Alberta. I never had any issues.

Thanks, I ran the wires across the roof secured to the bottom of the rack and the AluCab. Then down the rear of the cab then along the frame and up into the engine compartment. There is a plug on the firewall drivers side . I had already ran wires into that hole so just opened up the gromet I used so the 2 cables will fit.
