Arcadia, digital, encrypted?

I hadn't heard Arcadia in awhile. Even the Broadcastify feed. Someone from Arcadia PD was on next door and I asked if they went encrypted, he said they went digital.. Does that mean the same thing?

I see Arcadia police listed as not being encrypted on the ICI system. Have you tried programming this in?

Digital and encryption are two different things. Encryption can be on both analog and digital signals.

In this case, looks like they moved off analog radios and onto digital voice modulation.

Programming in trunked radio systems manually is no easy feat. What make & model scanner are you using? Much easier to program using software

Home Patrol 2 and Sentinel. So I know that should be easier. That software bothers me, why can't I have a search function? Why can't I search by radius? But that's another story.

I was up in the Santa Anita Park area a few weeks ago and was definitely hearing Arcadia PD on the ICI system. Not a lot of traffic, but it was there.

As of just a few moments ago they are indeed on ICI in the clear. I do recall some units coming back to dispatch encrypted, but this was a while ago and accounted for, by far, a minority of the total traffic. Thus, I am inclined to believe encryption is user selectable in the case of Arcadia PD. Happy listening~

I had time to bring in the scanner and update it with Sentinel, I am hearing Arcadia from the San Gabriel Valley Broadcastify feed it sounds like..... So I did a transfer over and it looks like the HP2 is refusing to look at that channel. Its in my favorites and im in ICI i can hear Monrovia and nope, won't get Arcadia.

Ill look for Home Patrol support since it sounds like it might just be my scanner.
