Control channel goes "brrrrr"
I have an odd audio issue plaguing one of my Proscan instances and curious if anyone else has found a fix for this.
Two of my instances, an SDS100 and a BCT15X share a single stereo line in source split via left and right channels to their respective instances. This setup runs through VSTHost with NovaEQ and Tri-Leveler to clean up the audio prior to Proscan.
My SDS100 session will drop into audio distortion where the audio is full of chop/echo/delay. It stays in this state for a few hours and comes back out on it's own. The BCT15X session on the opposite channel remains fine the entire time. I am able to instantly fix the issue by closing/restarting VSTHost. This audio distortion is heard in the loopback on PC as well as at the remote end via Web Server and SOIP.
I've checked Windows event viewer, no smoking guns there. The fact that the BCT15X session works fine throughout seems to rule out the sound card and VSTHost. I am suspicious of some sort of interaction between the ProScan SDS100 instance and VSTHost, but cannot put a finger on the issue. Nothing is out of sorts on Task Manager while this is happening as well.
Has anyone sorted an issue like this out before? I've debated firing up a backup RadioFeed instance to see if that keeps working when the SDS100 instance fails.
