SDS100/SDS200: Audio Quality

Feel sorry for your loss of hearing, but the loudest I ever got blasted with was the Beach Boys. And got my hearing checked about a year ago to find its A.O.K.
And thanks for the info but I want to just use the portable as it was intended to be used, not worth adding stuff on, when I guess i'm selling it and going back to a 436.
I read so many complaints here and on other sites, I think its poor quality manufacturing.

You have to take into account that each entity you scan can sound different because of many variables from the transmitting source. Some places I've scan sounded way better or worse with P25, DMR, Analog, etc.

Oh, ya, I've been in professional (both LE and commercial) radio programming for 30 years. But thanks for the reply. Oddly, listening to a couple other 800 trunk systems, it sounds better. Maybe (?) im not in the 6-10 RX radius and and the system is not so articulate makes the receive a bit tinny. If i'm top of another system getting it better. I have a 8000 and a 7000 on trunking and comparing the quality of the RX. More tinny when the 8000/7000 receives scratchy

All scanners listed by me are inservice hooked up to PROSCAN recording 24/7 365
In my car I run a 4 channel stridsberg 2 SDS100 1 436 and 1 325p2 with a spare TRX-1.
