Crowd growing at Presbury & Mount in the City. Supposed Plan is to March to Western Police District station.

Reading on Twitter that MTA PD is assisting.

Yeah. Seems like poor coordination. Should have set up proper radio communications. So many different talkgroups involved.

A reporter on Twitter is reporting there is a protest group at Western PD Station and separate one at City Hall/PD HQ. The reporter also stated City PD has requested MSP assistance.

I heard a couple MSP units talking on 9101 Central. They seemed like they were handling calls instead of protest duty.

Eventually would call in and describe situation to Central and then advise central to send a city unit, or in one case when asked if they should respond a city unit, MSP said "your discretion ".

Later heard on Central them dismissing all MSP units and thanking. So I guess MSP was all on Central.

I'm guessing that this will be the conclusion at some after - action review, and we will hear something a lot more coordinated in the next few days, as more protests are planned. Those during the winter over the Ferguson situation were a lot more coordinated.

Yup. The Ferguson protests were pretty well coordinated earlier this year.

There is another protest being held at 3PM at City Hall today and another one on Saturday (unknown location).

On another thread today it was reported that a new undocumented talkgroup 9121 showed up today sounding like a new C channel or surveillance channel. Running my City listening in search mode now.

Ended up being the only potential problem issue of the day and appeared to come under control fairly quickly, though it did apparently have the potential for getting a little out of hand. News helicopter caught this and heard verbally reporting to base. Might see video of this on 13 at 11pm
