CNN is reporting that BCFD is requesting 30 transfer companies from the surrounding jurisdictions.

Online audio comes from someone setting up a scanner to receive and then rebroadcast in online. If they use encrypted talkgroups like MEMA does and they also usually do, nobody can monitor them to do an online site.

If they use state police frequencies it depends. Possible to hear on FiRST. Possibly could use interoperability frequencies th as t can be heard with digital scanner.

I am beside myself hearing reports of "several officers injured" and requests for medics.

My heart goes out to you in Baltimore. I don't condone violence, but the answer is not more violence.
Sounds like the situation there is getting worse (both from sources here and the news). Can anyone in the area confirm this?

Gentlemen, let's try and keep the political commentary and social judgements out of this thread.

Please restrict your comments to information which will help others trying to listen to this incident.

Thanks.

On a related note, I'm now receiving a strong CMARC signal in Annapolis. MEMA (or the controlling agency) must have enabled some towers in Anne Arundel. Not much traffic however, just the usual fuel trucks.
Are you indicating that they have cranked up the output power of the Anne Arundel/Baltimore CMARC repeater sites or added the system to other towers? I am getting 5 bars but always do off this site.

I saw late last week a new tower being put up alongside the Democratic Club just east of the Stoney Creek Bridge on Ft Smallwood road. Driving by it yesterday I noticed a ton of different antennas on it.
Don't know who the users are.

Heard one of the first AACO fire units got a brick through the windshield a little after midnight while fighting one of the fires... I think the one on Monunent. Heard police trying to provide security for FF but not being able to do so.

I'm thinking that CMARC towers in southern AACo may not always be enabled. Typically, I have a "pulsing" signal strength in my RF hole in Annapolis. Using Unitrunker as a signal strength "meter," I sometimes go from long periods of no signal at all, to a weak 30-40. But yesterday, I had full strength continuously. This morning, it's back to the "pulsing." This seems to indicate - to me at least - that towers near the borders of Baltimore City are always on, and the ones in south county are selectively enabled. Perhaps my typical signal strength is poor because I'm too far south. You *might* always have good signal strength because county towers closer to the city are always enabled, or you may even be receiving city towers instead of county towers. Theoretically, I should get good CMARC reception all the time since one of the sites is at Greenbury Point, which is not far from here...

Anyway, just a theory.

Update: CMARC is pulsing this morning, but at a higher overall signal level...
