Per radio traffic with Foxtrot. 9110 is the "BPD 10A Tac-1"
Thanks. I was initially following the theme that it was possibly 9101 but could not figure out why they would call that a Tac channel.

Heard a dispatcher coming on duty at 10 am Tuesday and asked if the city had been backed off of tactical alert. The answer she got was no.

Baltimore Radio ID's

Looking at Unitrunker activity over the last 24 hours on the BaltCity System.

Note that just about all UIDs 246xxxx had last transmissions on 9010 or 9011, the two main tactical police channels.

Almost every single UID 250xxxx last transmissions were on 9001 Central. If not that, then it is 9010 or 9011.

Almost all 245xxxx UID's are last transmission on Fire Frequencies.

Just guessing, but it looks like these are the batches of radios that are getting passed out to State and other assisting police and fire departments.

Every one of these radios has had activity in the last 6 hours.

FYI for those who can't monitor FiRST.

MDTAP/MSP are using Statewide Tac-4. Tac-4 is being patched into Air-60 conventional frequency.

You know, as we go through this, it's probably worth noting that this is a hard stress test of the state and local comms infrastructure, and I haven't seen anything falter at all. Good stuff so far.

Radios from 2263412 to 2263455 all had last transmissions on TG 9100, which I believe is an undocumented talkgroup. This looks like another sequential set of UID radios that have been distributed to some group involved in this situation.

Just throwing some things out there in case anyone catches anything where these specific UID's are involved that might identify who the group might be.

So how exactly are the radios and equipment destroyed replaced? Insurance, or does the manufacturer handle it?

Exactly.

They just dispatched a dwelling fire on top of all the deployments currently going on and watching the city system in Unitrunker is pretty spectacular right now.

I was thinking exactly what you just said.

Anne Arundel County Police PIO just emailed this out...

The Anne Arundel County Police Department continues to monitor the events in and around Baltimore. We have provided around the clock support to the Baltimore Police Department. We have our internal command post set up. Our resources within the county have not been affected as a result of our deployment assistance. At this time, our support at this time is approximately 35 personnel. Our assets include tactical deployment, civil disturbance teams, and commanders.
We have continued to receive and monitor tips in reference to possible actions within Anne Arundel County. At this time, these reports/tips appear to be more social media rumor related than credible pieces of information. With that being said, we continue to monitor any and all tips as they come in.

We would ask that parents monitor their children. It is important to know where they are and who they are with. We have been in contact with our major shopping facilities and the school system.

Together, we can keep our citizens safe and ensure that these social media rumors don’t come to fruition.

Please follow our Twitter handle for any breaking news in reference to these situations.

GOVERNOR HOGAN MOBILIZES STATE RESOURCES TO SUPPORT BALTIMORE CITY LAW ENFORCEMENT RESPONSE
THE MARYLAND NATIONAL GUARD, STATE POLICE AMONG STATE AGENCIES WITH DEPLOYED RESOURCES

REISTERSTOWN, Md. (April 28, 2015) – Governor Larry Hogan and Maryland officials continue to coordinate the State’s response to violent civil unrest that has occurred in Baltimore City over the past day, and has included over 200 arrests and at least 19 structure fires. Maryland agencies are working together at the State Emergency Operations Center, which has been fully activated at the Maryland Emergency Management Agency since this past weekend’s demonstrations, in order to provide support to Baltimore City and manage State actions.

“As the State aggressively takes action to restore peace and order in Baltimore City, I want the citizens of Maryland to know that the state is fully engaged on all levels” said Governor Larry Hogan. “National Guardsmen, Maryland State Troopers, and supplies have been sent to areas within the City and we will continue to provide resources as needed.”

The following assets have been provided, which include:

• 500 National Guardsmen to support the operation, with a target of 2,000 troops activated to support by the end of the day;
• Over 400 State troopers and other allied law enforcement officers;
• 300 law enforcement from Pennsylvania, 150 from New Jersey and 45 from the District of Columbia;
• Department of Informational Technology is providing situational awareness mapping;
• Department of General Services has deployed Capital Police to secure state buildings in Baltimore;

• 37 fire engines, eight truck companies, and two heavy rescue units from surrounding counties; and,
• 20,000 meals and 1,000 bottles of water, which will be provided to law enforcement and first responders.
• More than 200 arrests have been made.

Twelve emergency support functions have been activated at the State Emergency Operations Center at the Maryland Emergency Management Agency in order to support the response and provide these assets, including: the Maryland Department of Natural Resources; the Maryland Coordination and Analysis Center, which provides situational awareness and intelligence; the Maryland Department of Human Resources, which is the State lead for social services and humanitarian aid; the Maryland Department of General Services, which coordinates logistical support; the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene; the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems; the Maryland Department of the Environment; the Maryland Public Service Commission, which regulates and monitors utility companies and associated infrastructure; the Maryland State Police; the Maryland Department of Agriculture; the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services; the Maryland Department of Transportation, which provides transportation assets; and the Maryland Military Department, which houses the National Guard.

So it's official? CNN.com:

Wednesday afternoon's game between the Orioles and Chicago White Sox in Baltimore will be closed to the public, the Orioles have announced. The unprecedented action follows the postponements of Monday's and Tuesday's games against the White Sox until May 28 amid unrest in Baltimore.

Major League Baseball believes this is the first time that a game has been closed to the public, a league source says.

Many larger governments/jurisdictions are self-insured... but you can bet there will be a request to the federal government after the dust settles for funding for associated costs and expenses to cover the gamit - to include overtime, equipment, food, radios, etc.

It's really no different than a natural disaster like a hurricane - once the declaration of emergency is made.

So - the indirect answer/outcome is that you and I are paying for it as taxpayers.
