Yes you plug it into your computer then plug it into your 436 in you should get a pop up for a new drive then you open the new drive setup. Exe or you could download it from Uniden
It has two ports the top one is the GPS the bottom of USB allows you to do firmware updates and update all the frequencies and talk groups systems in your 436 your computer has to have a internet connection and you'll be able to update your database to the newest version you can use the Uniden GPS for when you're traveling so you don't have to input your location manually
Before you do any of that..make sure you can even get the control channelin conventional mode. If you can't receive it then there is no point
Hi yes when you plug in your 436 open the Uniden Sentinel then click on update Master HPDB you need to have internet connection
No not locked out besides after you turn radio off or on isn't that only temporary? I notice alot of the same news media channels keep coming up so I have to locked them out only for them to return the next time I use radio. I didn't see BART on the avoid list.. There is a way to check the avoid list right? You can also make it permanent or temporary avoid?
Also do you have a home base antenna like*ST2 Antennacraft do you have any other scanners that you can program in the BART frequencies
