If you do a temp lockout then it will come back when you turn the scanner back on. If you want to lock it out so it wont come back when you turn on click avoid twice and it will do permanent lockout.

Yes you can review your list of permanent lockouts dont have my scanner in front of me so I cant tell you how.

Now I just noticed I see BART scan by real fast but no signals so it doesn't stop.

Okay then you should have no problem getting it in Concord they have a lot of repeater sites in that area you said you try to factory reset

Exactly why I said we should try that first instead of getting "reset your scanner" suggestions.

If its not stopping, you are not receiving the control channel data (not getting a signal). Please check and make sure you have the correct frequencies next.

I think you should read up on your manual to understand how your scanner operates.

Did you get a chance to update your database it could have been error from the factory loaded in your 436 you should have no problem receiving bart in Concord you should try hooking your scanner to your base antenna also I would check your attenuation setting the link shows you how do that

The attenuation is off and yes I have hooked it up the ST-2 antenna.
There must be a way to program these freqs. in individually like a regular scanner. I would like to listen to certain agencies. and not everything all at one time. I am reading the manual but it isn't that easy of a manual to understand.

I haven't done any computer hook ups yet with 436.

It's odd but sometimes I can get the display to light up only when there are transmissions and when transmissions end light goes off. Then there are times the light stays completely off when there is a transmission. Does this have to do with the Display and having squelch on or off? Also there are seconds. I did set the squelch to 6 or 7 but I still get too much interference especially on the 39.00 freqs. CHP that lock up the whole scanner. I end up hitting that "Avoid" button alot. It's very difficult to scan when I keep getting this interference or birdies that the scanner locks onto.

If you look at page 46 of user manual you can add favorite then you'll be able to input the frequencies then you could scan them to see if you could get the control channels have you tried to drive near a BART station with your scanner set to the BART system to see if you get any signal strengths?
