Sorry if already asked, if so, I didn't see it but, any ideas where users like Solid waste and TPO are going? Any ideas if they might switch over to a subscribed system like Mobile Comms America? I doubt the agencies want to set up new repeaters but then again, BDS did for buses and PCB PW is still on analog UHF, I doubt they want to put a $800 radio in every garbage truck.

For BDS sch buses I think they are staying on the uhf dmr since all schools are on uhf dmr. Public Works & Bay Town Trollies would move over but who knows when that will happen they are trying to get all public safety on new system first. Some odd reason pcb public works is still on analog uhf and also lynn haven public works is on uhf analog.

I hear more on the broadcastify feed. Any ideas? I am on the West End, past County Station 4.

Reason you can hear EMS County FD PC cause it is on P25 l. I don't know why they haven't gone to the phase ll yet. I got the same CC as you stated on DSDPlus.

Seems odd to me too, I looked at my manual after I posted and saw where my scanner only does Phase 1.
All of BCSO is on P2 but for some reason Municipal is on P1 too.
They might stay on P1, I will ask my new boss once I start my new job, we work closely with the radio system.
At least it gives me something to listen to on my old scanners before I have to upgrade.
Like I said, currently on P1 is:
BCSO Municipal
All of Airport TGs
All of Panama City
All of EMS
All of County Fire
Panama City Beach Fire & Tacs
That's All I have picked up so far
And it seems that the UHF EMS paging repeater has gone off the air and the VHF fire is very low volume. Have even heard depts calling dispatch about calls not coming thru the station overhead.

i would appreciate it you would do a database submission - and we will update the above to "D" vs "T" for the emission type!

There were times BCSO was on "T" when they first went live than a few days later saw "D" on disp than a hour later went back to "T". EMS is doing that now was using "T" when went live the past few days was "D" today went back to "T".

the D to T could mean that some radios are still phase 1 and some are phase 2 .
ie dispatch consles could be phase 2 and feild units phase 1 or vice versa .
i am not in that area . the big question is who upgraded radios or got new radios,
phase 2 systems will pass phase 1 traffic as mark has confirmed . also it could be they are still learning the workings , and could have selected from the console p2 or p1 .

All I know so far is that SO/PD is using Harris, and FDs are using Mot APX, If that has anything to do with it, but that may not have anything to do with it right now. But I saw a news interview this morning about Fred with Battalion 30 and he had a Harris speaker mic. It isn't until the 23rd before I will start finding out more info about the system. But who knows what we can find out between then and now.

mark it does not all p 25 brand radios can be used on the system .
example here is my systems is motorola but i have a friend that just bought some harris wts with first net to be used on the system. i know some agencies using kenwoods also
i am not sure about speaker mics . it could be they have motorola radios and using harris speaker mikes , just no way to tell unless u lay eyes on the radio.
i bet some are phase 1 and some are phase 2 . my system is that way .
that is what i am thinking is happing .

When I on DSDPlus say a new TG comes up with no (TDMA) they do some testing on it than it goes to (TDMA) more testing on that tg.

Speaking of D & T. EMS is on "D" again all users just not dispatch. Highlighted Freq is Phase l Non Highlighted Freq is Phase ll.

tdma is phase 2 fyi
phase 1 is just a regular d

TDMA stands for “Time-Division Multiple Access.” Like FDMA, or “Frequency-Division Multiple Access,” TDMA is a technology that allows multiple conversations to share the same radio channel. Although the goal is the same, the two technologies work very differently.

Phase 2 is more spectrally efficient than Phase 1, providing two effective channels per 12.5 kilohertz bandwidth. In P25 Phase 2, each physical base station provides two effective voice channels. It does this by using TDMA, or Time Division Multiple Access, where two independent conversations share the same channel.

Phase 2 is backwards compatible with Phase 1 radios, allowing a new Phase 2 radio to operate with users of Phase 1 P25 equipment, and to operate on Phase 1 network equipment.
