Hello all,

I have a Uniden BC125AT analog scanner and am looking for a police, fire, emergency, and related frequency file for WV, main county Marion, to upload through the program for the scanner. Is anyone able to create an updated DB file and is it even worth it, as everything is digital and trunked?

I have contacted RadioReference support and they directed me to y'all.

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the RR forums. Hate to be the bearer of bad news but your emergency services operate on the state's P25 Phase-II trunked radio system which your BC125AT cannot handle. Though there are a few analog conventional fire frequencies listed on your county's database page you can try so may not be completely out of luck. For everything else you'll need to upgrade to a P25 trunking scanner from this list. Although the system is P25 Phase-II capable, your county's talkgroups are FDMA (Mode "D" in the RRDB) so any scanner on the list I linked should work.

Also for future reference, locally-focused questions can better be answered in your state's discussion forum

You will only be able to listen to Marion Fire dispatch (dispatcher side, not firefighter side) and the Marion EMS channel on that scanner. To be able to hear the firefighters talking on the dispatch channel, you will need a digital scanner capable of at least P25 Phase 1. That will also get you all the fire TAC channels, EMS channel, and all the police channels in Marion County. If you need any help, let me know. I also live in Marion County.
