Which system(s) are you trying to monitor? Also, what is your location city, or county, and state),

An audio file is not going to do much to help solve your issue. Can you upload your programming file (if using software)?

You can <right> click on the file, on your pc.
You'll get a pop-up menu with a number of choices.
Select Send to, which then gives you some additional choices. Choose the option that says "Compressed (zip) folder". You can then attach that zip file to a post.

Is this the system you are trying to monitor?
If so, the site appears to be Simulcast. Here's a link to the map showing the sites.
Simulcast Distortion, if that's what is happening, can negatively affect what you are hearing. More on simulcast can be found in the Wiki.

Update your radio firmware, the 325P2's come with firmware 1.06. Go to MENU, SETTINGS, SEE SCANNER INFO and Firmware Version.
Current is 1.08.01 and with that Uniden did some work to help better receive.
It doesnt cure simulcast, but it does improve reception.

Another way to help is to do this procedure. 996P2 is the desktop version of the 325P2.

I always suggest doing a Weather scanner whenever there is a question about scanner reception. One of these frequencies is usually present around most populated areas. It is a basic conventional frequency with nothing fancy.

If you suspect a simulcast distortion/garble situation, try taking the scanner closer to a site/tower. If you get a clean/clear signal, that pretty much confirms simulcast problems.

I have a 325P2 and here are a few things that I have found that help with the issues you are describing. With a simulcast system setup each simulcast as its own system and assign the appropriate Talkgroups to that system. When more than one simulcast is scanned at the same time in a system it seems to give the scanner problems, but placing each in it's own system helps. Try tweaking the threshold settings to see if there is any improvement. I have also found that turning off the Digital AGC helps too. What kind of antenna are you using? If you have the stock Uniden antenna that can be a big part of the problem. I was using the Remtronix 800B which does pretty well and I just recently bought a Comet CH-32 that preforms better, your results may vary.

In my opinion, Only work around is to buy a SDS100/200 or a Unication G4/G5 Pager..or i guess you could try a yagi directional antenna

Screwing around with settings may help a little, but are unlikely to solve the problem. Using a directional antenna means you can only monitor the one system. Best bet is to sell the 325 and get a SDS100.
