"Everything is programmable through the HP-1 without having to use the software. The unit is 100% touch which makes it MUCH easier to program by hand if need be. It is really self explanatory. "

Really? LOL

"No DB needed - but a hell of a lot more easier."

Thank you.

Here it IS !!! It took me 30 seconds to find this. Now you have to read it and do further research. You must spend some time here and there are many links to other help sites.

PS: I am not going to list all the help sites There is a ton of info here as well as links. . Click on the link below and get started.

I've been a member of this site since it was trunkedradio.net, way back when before EDACS scanners were even a thought. Though I may disagree with some of the actions taken by moderators or administrators, bottom line...they enforce the rules! And I do not think ANY of them are biased to Uniden or GRE, or any other radio manufacturer. Remember, GRE came up with the same thing, a radio that as programmed with the entire RRDB. Listen, I commend the people who break their asses and administer and moderate this site. It is a hell of a task, and as I understand it, the pay sucks. So, while we may disagree on things, bottom line is we're hear for a hobby and to have fun, Let's keep things in perspective!

BCDx36HP Sentinel Creating Custom Favorites List - YouTube

He moved way too fast for me in that video. I couldn't see how he got into even the very first screen.
Doug

Go to youtube and punch in bcd 436 then look for videos by a guy with the ACS of K4DPS or something close. That guy does some fantastic step by step slow going through videos on every freaking aspect of the new 436/536 scanners and if I can get it after watching them you certainly should be able to.

Also there is this handy little button which pops up after every singe video with a little curving around arrow and the word replay.

Try clicking on it.

First, download the newest Sentiel software which can be found here:

BCD536HP < UnidenMan4 < TWiki

The software is the same for the BCD436HP.

Here is my attempt at trying to explain how to set up favorite lists. Also, check out my other videos, I use the BCD536HP in most demos, but they also can be applied to the BCD436HP. I hope it helps.

The programming for the BCD536HP and BCD436HP are identical in this regard, other than the form factor. Sorry the videos were of no help to you, many others have found them useful.

I'll second that, thank you for the videos K4DPS.

They've been an immense help in learning about not only the scanner but also the software.

Played some several times and probably will again. Very thorough and step by step which helps a tremendous amount.

Thank you.

Thank you Ghstwolf62. That is the main reason why I made them, to help folks like yourself to understand how they work and operate. It also helps me when I need a refresher. I'm no expert by any means, but I try to show what I have learned and explain it in easy terms that hopefully most people can understand.

Thanks again for the good words.

How would you program NASCAR team freqs.?? They are not in the db.[/QUOTE said:

Let you know last night I spent a few hours overhauling the Sprint cup drivers, frequencies wiki NASCAR - The RadioReference Wiki

Wrist was sore copy pasting. I to used jayskis but you'll see at the wiki some drivers only have one frequency listed and are missing the alternate frequency.
Anyone able to find those for 2014, go for it and update the wiki.

Love your website...very good looking. I agree about the $70.00 fee for putting in a zip code. It is ludicrous.

+1. Many, many thanks.
