BCD436HP help with Chelsea Police Dispatch

Hello, I am new to scanners. I read the manual as well as the easy to read manual, yet I still can't seem to figure out how to listen to my local Suffolk County: Cities/Municipalities - Chelsea: Police Dispatch channel (470.8875MHz NFM C131.8). I used to be able to listen to the channel on my old radio shack pro 94, but ever since they switched to P25 I haven't been able to which is why I bought the Uniden BCD436HP. I am able to hear the Chelsea Fire Dispatch and other surrounding cities but not Chelsea or Revere Police. Any help in setting this up would be greatly appreciated. Step by step instructions.

Side note: I don't own a PC with Windows so I am unable to use the Sentinel Software.

Step 1 ) Check to make sure you have the proper Service Types enabled.

Someone local will need to let you know if they are in the clear and if the database is correct.

Somehow you will need the Sentinel Software to update the scanner database as both Chelsea and Revere are both P25.
Perhaps someone you know has a windows pc or there may be a program that will allow you to run Sentinel on your Apple computer.
To program by hand is going to be very hard for you

Then why not have someone local actually answer the question vs wasting their time?
They're conventional, not on CoMIRS, so your guess there was wrong.

And yes, the DB for that area, just like all of southern New England are still correct....

Gary, you really need to use Sentinel to set these up.

Are you using the Scanner in "Zip Code" mode or programmed favorites list?

If you are using the former, you need to set this up with favorites lists of the two cities. If you are using it in Zip Code mode, you need to have the master database updated in the scanner, which is done via Sentinel.

If you want a quick and dirty answer, P25 channels will use a NAC. Your C 131.8 is why you're not receiving anything.
When holding on the channel as you are in your screen shot, press "E/yes", edit current channel, set audio type, digital only, set p25 NAC, set it to 200 as show in my attachment from the database. You'll need to do this for PD2 and Revere as well. This is of course assuming that you've saved them to a favorites list.

In that case you'll need to create a favorites list for that frequency then make the following modifications (can't be done while scanning full database as your screenshot says you are unless you update full DB via Sentinel)
But since you're unable to use Sentinel the process is a bit more involved: After you create your favorites list with the frequency, press Enter (E) key. Select Edit Current Channel (press E) Scroll to Set Audio Type (E)
Select Digital Only (E) Select Set P25 NAC (E)
Use knob to scroll to Input P25 NAC of 200 (pressing '6' advances to next character & pressing 4 backtracks to previous character). Finally press "E" then the change should be saved
Repeat same process with listed secondary channel if need be substituting NAC 200 with NAC 150

Hello! Wow — thank you everyone for the quick responses. I might’ve found a friend that has access to a PC, but in the meantime I followed the audio type steps. The one positive is that it helped connect me to Revere PD. However, Chelsea is still not coming through. I’m including a link to a video I recorded of the scanner showing you what I did. I’m attaching an image of revere police and how you can see I was able to fix the audio type to the proper NAC.
