Shipping update: First, I have to apologize for my previous estimate, it was flat-out wrong. At this point, it looks like the 536 will arrive closer to the 3rd week of January with the 436 at the end of January or beginning of February. While we are getting a few on those previous dates I gave, they are our first pilot production pieces...not large quantity (the shipping report I was referencing didn't have qty on it...I assumed the full shipment).

Awwwwwww!!! Bah humbug!!!

Well at least now I won't be panicking when January comes and goes with no "your order has been shipped" email from Scanner Master. Bring on February!!

From what I was lead to believe,the portable will ship first followed by the base. Is that true or is it reversed? The unit I really want is the base/mobile. Please advise

Now that the shipping is pushed back. Can UPMan answer my original question. Is the 536 display limited to 32 characters and the 436 limited to 64 before the screen displays .......? Again this is based on videos I seen. Speaking of videos, since everything has been pushed back we should see some videos soon.

As with any production, things happen (or things are misread, as the case may be). At least we have UPMan to give updates instead of being in the dark. AND he is honest about his mistake! That says a lot if you ask me.

I always thought it was base first, then portable...at least that's how I had it in this head of mine and I assumed I got that from somewhere. At any rate it looks like they'll ship about a week or so apart.

Well, Paul, since my card was charged when I placed my pre-order, I have already finished paying for it so the least you could do is upload more videos, pretty please? And programming is not what we want. We want to "hear" them in action

You should be careful not telling me what to feel... It is my opinion and I stand by it. I am NOT happy with the delay. I totally based my decision to pre-order on the continually stated position that it would be first week of January. No one is crying foul, I am still not happy with the fact that it is not coming first week...

Also Siren will not be ready as originally expected and even then, not fully functional. Not happy about that either.

Well I prepaid with scanner master a few weeks back and my credit card was charged. I am okay with my credit card being charged. I am going to be one of the first ones that gets to have the radio.

Everybody gets to wait in line. At least you are vertical and breathing. Being not happy around the holidays is still not going to make the radio show up any earlier.

Oh and BTW Undien is shipping the radios the first couple of weeks in January to their dealers and by the time the dealers get their radios and process the orders on which they come in on then they will be shipping them out which will be the last couple of weeks in January.

Actually, I already paid off the charge, so I am happy to be done with that part... and trust me am as happy as a pig in mud... just not about the delay in getting my new toy. I don't even need the new decodes, just the wi-fi

Upman - thanks for the candor. I'm sure you are not any happier than others about the delay. I imagine Uniden itself is even less happy as they've got money invested in producing the units and until delivery is made to dealers/distributors, a return on that investment isn't realized.
