According to WTHR 13:

One deputy died, one wounded, by a 15 year old who got into an argument with his mother. They have not found him yet.

I checked WTHR.com this morning and they say that the 15 year old that shot the two officers was found dead in the residence. They didn't say what the cause of death was but one could speculate that it was a self-inflicted GSW.

Really a terrible and unfortunate situation.

The officers on the scene last night advised that they thought they heard a shot, or at least that is what I thought I heard them say. I listened to them send the robot in and giving room by room updates.

I can only hope the family of Deputy Frank C. Denzinger can find comfort knowing that their loved one is in the loving arms of the Lord. They will see him again on the other side when they have their Homecoming. He leaves behind a wife and 2 yo daughter

According to ch 13 they will have info at 5pm on how this kid got the gun and his training with it. They actually made it sound as if it was unheard of that a kid would no how to use a gun. Heck I shot my first gun at 8 and it was one of those double barrell 12 gauge shot guns made in 1812 with the very short barrells....both barrells went off, but I didn't land on my backside :) although my shoulder hurt for a week.....

16 apartments burn in Carmel, started by kids shooting off fireworks. Apparently one of the fireworks fell and shot into a bush starting the bush on fire and then the apartment building. According to what I heard no one injured but some pets were lost, although one claimed to have been hit in the back by fireworks he didn't appear injured.

Per Carmel Fire Sept it was definately caused by fireworks.....

http://www.wthr.com/Global/story.asp?S=6742769

Turns out the entire complex is destined to be destroyed anyway so new condos can be built. $1,000,000 loss or should I say profit for the buildings owners since they won't rebuild anyway.

Sure the owners will come out ahead, but what about the people that was living there and all their things (they are lost because some idiot cannot set off fireworks responsibly)

Yeah, I know, and tonights news they announced the idiot will NOT be charged! Must be a Bush supporter....however, they do have to deal with those who lost everything in the fire. What bites is these people will have to spend money to sue the idiot, and of course it's easy in this country to get out of that, so he's off free.

Nope, I was listening to the crash in downtown Indy (h&r with injuries) and the hijacked car and pursuit that followed both seperate incidents. You shoulda heard the one IMPD officer in foot pursuit, loud and clear "stop M-----F-----" to a guy with a gun.....wonder if he realized his mic was keyed? If not, I am sure his supervisor will let him know about it.
It reminded me of an accident I was in while driving an ambulance, and the county where it happened still uses that tape for training purposes. Not knowing a portable got stuck on transmit when we got hit by a drunk at 10am on a Saturday a crew member in back asked me what happened and I said "some stupid M-----F----- hit us" and suddendly I hear county say our unit number and ask "are you OK" and I responded "I don't know, we just stoipped". Then I grabbed the broken portable and go check on the other driver, and county heard everything, even when the police said "I don't need your info, I already have it on the other report" because that previous Tuesday I had another wreck when a kid pulled out in front of me while on a fire call....it was a rough week :)
13 years later I had neck surgery because of that wreck, I crushed two disks in my neck and missed 6 months of work. Didn't hurt a bit till 1/2 hour after the wreck.
