Accident update

Started in Southbound lanes and ended in Northbound lanes. The 2 people in the front seat were pronounced dead at the scene and the 17 year old kid taken by Dove flight was ejected.

Parke County Sheriff is looking for a woman about 55 y/o in the Montezuma area . ISP is sending up a helo. Tons of radio traffic all on Safe-T. H-MA1, H-MA3, 61-DISP, 61-FIRE, 61-FG1, ISP-32-DISP... enjoy, I think they are asking for anyone willing to go and help to meet up at the Fire House.

Tree on top of car and on fire....I think it's Union county but it was hard to hear this woman dispatching the call as the siren was going off and covering her. Nothing heard since dispatch though at 2:42am. I think they need to delay the siren until after the call is dispatched, it wouldn't take much to put a delay circuit in....or move the siren.

Divers Searching for Evidence

Light traffic this morning on IFD Ops5 (MECA I/3440) for an evidence search by IFD and Franklin Township divers. Sounds like they're in the area of the Eagle Creek causeway.

Some of the divers have been down nearly 1 hour.

Boone County units working an accident with entrapment and 5-6 patients at 421 & 32.

I can only hear the simulcast on 155.16, tactical traffic probably on Boone County FG1 (SAFE-T/6320).

Manhunt in Greenfield

Not sure what occured but Greenfield PD has set up a perimiter near the city DOT and animal control. They have a helicopter coming to help in a search... very rare request by GPD.

Well apparently whatever is going on also affected the Greenfield Post Office as well - now I am real curious as to what happened. They have cleared both areas so whoever they were looking for got away.

yeah, missing postman who delivered to one customer and went poof into thin air. I found out this afternoon...oh well, been too darn busy to find out earlier....oh well.

BTW, still no word tonight as to his whereabouts or why he vanished but they have a couple ideas that they are working on.

They brought in a Mobile Comand Post from Michigan and set it up at the Greenfield Post Office.Mobile Comand unit belongs to US Postal Inspectors.This was according to the NewsMedia last night at 11:00PM Newscast.This is thereason why the Greenfield Post Office is closed....Anyone hearing any radio traffic on the Federal frequencies for US Postal service Inspectors should be in the area of 418Mhz repeater for Indianapolis

The post man goes postal... so what else is new. this will give the Post Office a new excuse for poor and slow mail delivery for the next six months.

Don't know, mine comes from a different PO (McCordsville) ....I do know the county got the tax bills out as my neighbors got theirs today (GULP mines up $300)
Oh, this is guy has been known to carry a 9mm on the job, thats why the armed and dangerous statement.
I rarely get to Greenfield, but I had know idea it was so dangerous there the mailman needed to be armed....I guess if you get corn and eggs thrown at you enough you crack....and go postal

Nothing on 418 but a couple minutes ago I got blasted out of my chair from encrypted transmission in the 167 range which has never happened in my area. I wonder if it is through the tower 1/4 mile away, although I thought it was only a cell phone tower, or another tower about three miles east, either way it was close and loud.

At the same time the Sheriffs dept was disp to a "naked man dancing around for three hours....at the rest area East of Greenfield" and the officers responce? They waited three hours to call this in? I guess they wanted a show and were getting tired of it... must have been some good drinkin there!
