My pleasure Scott. Looks like I've got a bit more using the feeds now than I did before - glad everyone is enjoying!

Please keep in mind, you CAN listen to BOTH the Fire/EMS feed AND the Law Enforcement feed at the SAME TIME. You just have to start another instance of ProScan and point to the feed you're not currently listening to!

I am sad to announce that the EMS/Fire feed's days on the current scanner are numbered.

I will be taking the scanner currently attached for that feed and moving it to my new vehicle.

In the near future I *MAY* setup another fire/ems feed, but since ProScan doesn't support the BC246T scanner, it will be an audio-only feed via both ProScan and Windows Media.

I plan on taking down the Fire/EMS feed within the next 24-48 hours.

Thanks to all who monitor either one of the feeds on a regular basis!

This morning I changed the port for ProScan to 5000 from 443.

This is due to a couple of reasons.

1) Over the last 3 days I have had over 30,000 connection attempts logged by the same IP address, which to me is an indication that someone was either attempting a denial of service attack, or more likely, someone thought they were attempting to hack into an SSL server (port 443 is typically utilized by SSL connections).
2) The original reason for me using port 443 was that the net-nazis at my workplace had all but specific ports locked down, so, in order for me to listen while in the office I had to use a port that I knew wasn't being blocked. 443 was one of them. This is no longer a problem as I was laid off last week.

Please contact me if you have any questions!

Sorry folks - it is with a heavy heart that I have to announce that until I have another job, I can't keep the feed online. I'm pinching every penny right now because between my getting laid off and now my wife moving out, I am so broke that I can't pay attention :)

Having another computer online 24/7 doesn't cost a lot, but, every penny is valuable right now. I don't want any shocks when the electric bill comes in.

I'll post a new thread if/when I can bring it back. Thanks everyone for understanding.

Feed is down for the next couple of days while I reprogram my radios to account for the rebanding.

Rebanding is done on the Eau Gallie site. This morning my Orion in the car was receiving the system, this evening it was in CC scan. My 7100 portable, which has been rebanded, hears the Eau Gallie site just fine.

I chose not to reband the Orion until after the transition is complete, so I would know exactly when they performed the switch.

I have both sets of freq. (original & reband) in my GRE500.
I get nothing at all on both sets.
Did they change the Group ID's or the Control Channels ??
(Melbourne PD North was 08-012.. And South 08-017)

Anyone else having issues with the newly rebanded Eau Gallie system? I used the info from the East Central Florida site, with LCNs from 10-17. Was kind of spotty last night, I was missing one side of some conversations, and had some TGs other than what I had programmed come through from time to time. Haven't heard anything since later this morning.

I have been listening to Melbourne PD most of the day so far..

And I agree with both issues
1) There are other TGs come in too..
2) Sometime I am getting only one side of the conversation
3) (something new), Sometimes I get part of the transmission

Almost as if we are missing a frequency from the list..

Ok Bill:

Thanks, I guess we should move this over to the rebanding thread. I monitor BCFR, and have heard only sporadic transmissions from the Eau Gallie tower today, at least on the TGs I monitor there. I did hear a few mentions of the tower being down, and they were moving over to the Palm Bay tower. I'll make any responses over on the other thread.

Proscan feed is back online tonight for testing - PLEASE - let me know if you see/hear anything odd!

ALSO, I now am providing the Proscan Web feed - go to Brevard County Law Enforcement Scanner and click on Listen - no software install required!

I will take it down again tomorrow so I can hook up my other scanner and reprogram it, should be back online tomorrow night.

I had to change the port on the Windows Media feed to port 8081 as it appeared that port was being blocked by my ISP.
