looks like there were updates to the database in the past 24-36 hours. Working fine for me in South BrevardNo longer getting a CC lock on either the North or South P25 Simulcast Cell. Anyone notice any channel frequency changes?
Brevard has lit up their P25 system that will eventually replace their 30 year old analog EDACS system.
Currently only the (edit: south - palm bay) site is active on 852.6125
Funny, they are using the same WACN as Ozaukee County, EDIT: Wisconsin (at least for now) --- this system will be very much in play over the coming weeks.
That was it. Some new frequencies were added to both the North and South Simulcast.looks like there were updates to the database in the past 24-36 hours. Working fine for me in South Brevard
there is no reason, it's just the way it was chosen to lay out the master thread links in the forum. and, I do not have the desire to go change all the links and threads using the method that was used at the beginning of the forum re-org.I have puzzled why you use NAC.WACN while the industry convention is WACN.NAC. In fact, WACN.NAC order is used in the callsign to WACN and NAC calculator they sometimes used.
I would not suggest going back and changing things but many of us will post in the standard industry order of WACN then NAC.there is no reason, it's just the way it was chosen to lay out the master thread links in the forum. and, I do not have the desire to go change all the links and threads using the method that was used at the beginning of the forum re-org.
I think most people in the Industry would post in WACN then System ID. Within a system, NAC's can vary from site to site.I would not suggest going back and changing things but many of us will post in the standard industry order of WACN then NAC.
Well it sounds like we'll loose listening to any Public Service agencies with the P25 Phase 2 system by the end of September. Wow, we're all going to have a bunch of useless radios.yes, there are encrypted BCSO units on P25.
I agree wholeheartedly. I have 6 Uniden trunking scanners at the house I was using for analog and 3 GRE, and one SDS100 for digital/analog. If all I am going to be able to listen to is SCAT buses on anything it's time to post the whole lot up onto Ebay.Well it sounds like we'll loose listening to any Public Service agencies with the P25 Phase 2 system by the end of September. They're jazzing up P25 Phase 2 and implying encryption is either mandatory or included. Marketing because there is nothing left to market. Moto has been pushing encryption lately too.The way I've read it, by leveraging the "power" of the advanced L3HARRIS TDMA network, with enhanced AES256 encryption, to insure secure mission critical communications, your public safery officials will be further protected from the ongoing and growing threat from domestic adversaries.
Well, at least that's how most of L3H marketing brochures seem to lay things out.
In short, now that they have advanced and secure mission crtical communications, (public safety) officer safety should no longer really be an issue and since their adversaries will no longer have the ability to escape or evade, as they once did by monitoring the network, crime should become almost non-existant.
Let's just see how things play out for now.😉
