The site is not reporting any neighbors. I'm in the reception range of Site 3 and Site 5. Neither of them are reporting Site 74 as neighbor (yet)

I spent some time this morning going over the Broadcastify Calls "All Captured Talkgroups" page and made a few notes based on what I was able to hear. I attempted to add this info to the wiki but apparently I'm not that good with the wiki, so if someone else would like to add this please feel free.

I'll again say, putting the CRIS sites on the Calls platform now is incredibly helpful with gathering information that can help solve some mysteries.

In the past several days, I've received a lot of traffic on 1627 and 2060 through Lukens. Unfortunately, they are both encrypted so I cannot determine their designations yet.

From Broadcastify Calls recordings, TG:1974 was verbally identified as "Cal Vet Emergency". Sounds like they are doing radio checks just about every morning between the "Cal Vet HQ" and the "Lancaster VA Home" security and the "Reading VA Home" security.

Are you sure this wasn't 1973? Calls node shows the traffic you described on 1973, but nothing on 1974.

A bunch of newly licensed VHF sites have been added to the Wiki, if folks can please keep an ear out for them.

CRIS may just be put "on hold" as far a completion because there is a spending freeze in CA due to the severe budget deficit.
"NO NEW SPENDING" for now.
Unless they have the new equipment already paid for...then it's NOT going to have any further funding...for now.
68 billion in the red, but that number is going to be much much higher maybe up to $200b.

That's what I'm thinking. They might've been at the Northern Communications Center for State Parks (co-located at Prairie City OHV).

They had an open carrier at one point where I heard them say something was disconnected from the core. Just a guess that they were working on the dispatch consoles at Northern and doing audio checks on some of the channels.

There's a new Site 74 on the air, heard while sitting in downtown Merced. No voice traffic heard.

With it only having two site neighbors, my guess is a local coverage gap or to get portable coverage in a specific area. Site 66 is a similar setup in Rancho Cordova for Cal OES HQ, only having two site neighbors.

Radio techs where testing encryption on TG 748 "Valley Gold" via CHP dispatch consoles today. It's now full time encrypted

I remember telling folks that CHP was going trunked many years ago, and being laughed at. I mentioned they were going full E too, again laughter. Now that it's actually happening, I wish I was hearing laughter instead of groaning and tears.
