The dispatch channel is also patched with the 800 mhz analog channel. ID 01840 (Fire main) or the low band 33.82. They are all the same channel.

Please don't post the same message more than once. Someone will respond in due course - patience!.

There are so many questions here that it defies answering. Are you trying to hear the VHF lo channel or listening to the trunk system? What radio and antenna are you using?

It's certainly possible freqs have changed, but we need to start somewhere...Mike

That would not affect the lo band dispatch, unless, like many areas that make major changes to their trunk systems, the lo band frequency was abandoned and they moved up (maybe to high band)

Thanks Mike. I was thinking more in terms of the trunked system. I often can get the PD Dispatch (TG 1616) from home on clear nights.

Low band for sheriff/state police and fire/ems is still up and running. As Dewey said they rebanded rather suddenly with no warning (at least for the out side world). Information in the data base is right on!

Funpack - If you are using a handheld, that little antenna that comes with it is highly inefficient on low band. Probably no better than a wet noodle, in fact.

It would help if we knew what radio/antenna you are using...Mike

As stated above, Calvert must have been rebanded suddenly. I travel that area a fair amount and both my scanner and fire department radio are now silent on all channels. So it wasn't just the outside world that was left in the dark. If anyone knows the new frequencies would they please post them. This is going to be another headache as far as interoperablity is concerned.

Check our database - all you need to do to find the frequencies is subtract 15 Mhz from the originals. However, you will also need a custom bandplan to follow this system correctly, and not all scanners can do it. The 2055 can't, unfortunately

Here's the URL for Calvert county - with the adjusted freqs...

Calvert County Trunking System, Prince Frederick, Maryland - Scanner Frequencies

A lot of communities are now undergoing rebanding. Howard and Montgomery are just 2 counties in my neck of the woods that have undergone this.

Hey thanks Mike. I always thought the Calvert system was a good one. I hope that remains true. Unlike the pile of garbage that Prince Georges County just switched to, Calvert seems to have great coverage and solid stability.

The 2055 is still a pretty decent conventional scanner - it will work with LTR, EDACS and non-rebanded Moto analog systems, too, and you're close enough to Pax River to hear the flights coming in/out (not the tower or ground comms - too far away for that)

I still have the 2055 in my old Buggy. It doesn't get used much anymore. I have A PSR400 in my everyday ride that I use when I travel. I haven't attempted to upgrade the firmware yet. Understand that I'm an old school "program manually" kind of guy. I have the win97 software installed and have had much success programming with that program. I guess I'm still learning.

I figured that I would put this here rather than making a new thread.

It seems that I am having significant issues monitoring Calvert's system on my PSR400. It had been working fine up until about two days ago. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You'll have to be a lot more specific than 'significant issues' if you expect anyone to jump in and help..Mike
