Ok thanks so much. That's what I was afraid of. I really wish there was a way to simply switch the system type on the bcd436, without having to do it all over again. RR db really should be more clear explaining the system type. I saw X-2 TDMA as an option on my scanner, so automatically assumed that meant Phase 2. It can really throw people off. Thanks again.

scanning the old Camden co police zones and the old DPS 4 channel keeps keying up and heard the chirp sound a few times

I heard some chatter on there yesterday late afternoon. Not much, only a few seconds and they were gone. Nothing since.

alrighty thank u for the info i wonder if the old channels will ever be used again

Someone can correct me if I am wrong, I believe all the old frequencies were given back to the FCC.

Gloucester Twp is the only municipality in Camden County still using there conventional UHF frequencies. Cherry Hill is on there own TRS.

I believe Pennsauken went to the system the first of this month. I however do not know whether or not either Gloucester Twp or Cherry Hill will go onto the system or stay where they are.

Yeah, always important to keep the old conventional frequencies in the db (as long as they remain licensed) because they can always use them as back up at any time.

Gloucester Township to move over to the system

I was just informed that Gloucester Township will be moving over to the system, I do not know when, but I was told it is coming a lot sooner then later. They will be keeping there own dispatchers for now. I don't know if they will be using county dispatchers in the future.

I wonder how the media gets their news with everything encrypted down there. Maybe they have a secret media buff frequency or something.

I use to live in Chester County Pa and I thought the same thing about Chester County's system and they have been on it for almost 20 years which they are now looking to go to another system altogether. Don't be surprised that you never hear any police in Camden County ever again.
