The PATCO Police are disbanded. They are now called DRPA Police Transit Unit and operate on the DRPA EDACS trunked system in Provoice digital mode. Group ID is 1128 In addition they are not district 38 on the Camden County system anymore, they are ID'd as Tango 400 series units.

Also as stated above the train, maintenance, and other UHF channels are simulcast on the EDACS system using analog voice.

Group 1105 is Trains and simulcasts 500.9125
Group 1109 is Yard (formerly 453 MHz simplex channel)
Group 2042 is Way & Power and is a Patch ID which simulcasts 500.8375
Group 2043 is Admin and is also a Patch ID which simulcasts 500.8875

Lastly the 2042 and 2043 are patch IDs that are linked to groups 1110 and 1112. So once the patch is cut those groups will be used for Way & Power and Admin going forward.

Anyone know what happen to Patco Police? Still nothing on that channel

Well it's Provoice digital so the answer is no if you use a scanner. However you can monitor the digital voice conventionally with the DSD or DSD+ program.

Also with a PSR800 you may be able to monitor the Provoice with the scanner following the trunked system by turning on the following in the scanner settings:

Enable EDACS Dig - check Use box (this enables the digital talk groups to be scanned)
Enable IF Output - check HP (this enables the discriminator audio to be output to the headphone jack)

Connect the headphone jack to the sound card line input jack with a patch cord

Select the DRPA system scan. Make sure the Provoice talk groups are in the scan list

Start DSD or DSD+

Adjust IF output with scanner's volume control

Edit: I just tried this out with my PSR800 and DSD+ software and it works great. Keep in mind you will only hear Provoice talk groups out of your PC's speaker since the analog audio will be muted on the scanner because of the headphone will be plugged in.

Camden County police???

Is the system for the Lindenwold area down for police? Just heard a police call go out on the Inter-Agency Ops channel. Didn't catch which PD was dispatched though.

I think they where on for a parade or event. Did it sound like regular police activity?

Yes. An officer was dispatched to a 10-70 animal complaint. I wasn't around for the rest of the day so I don't know whether it happened again. I'm going to add the PD talk groups for the Lindenwold area as see what I hear over the next couple of days.

Well i think what I heard was a "fluke". I monitored all of the Camden County PD talk groups last night and all I heard were encoded/encrypted transmissions.

I am trying to program Camden County's Phase 2 system into my Bcd436 scanner. Is this considered P25 X2-TDMA or P25 Trunked system? I am a little confused.

Program as P25 standard, the radio will automatically decode the Phase II transmissions and display it as PT0 and PT1
