Can't hear Point of the Mountain

I live in Provo and can't pick up the POM control channel. I can get some others in SL county but not POM. I wonder if some of the control channels in the data base are wrong? It seems that I have different one programmed into my Pro-95 than are in the database. I will have to remember to bring my scanner to work with me tomarrow so i can comfirm it. No computer at the house . I also can't seem to pick up the traffic i use to in utah county. Did the contol channels change since the first of august?

Yes, you are right. The Point of the Mountain control channel is no longer there and I haven't found its replacement yet. I've tried searching through the frequency range but haven't come up with anything new yet. However, I haven't noticed a change in the Utah County control channel. I've been using 867.6625 without any problems.

Here's an idea. I can pick up the control channel for Salt Lake (868.1125) here in Provo, although it is a weak signal sometimes. I wonder if that's being transmitted from the Point of the Mountain site now instead of using its own frequencies there. What do you think? Could they have switched that site to the Salt Lake County frequencies? It just seems like without that site it would be awfully difficult to pick up any Salt Lake frequencies.

700 867.81250 UCAN DAVIS (CAN'T HEAR ANYTHING TO FAR SOUTH
800 867.83750 UCAN DAVIS (CAN'T HEAR ANYTHING TO FAR SOUTH

I can't find where 866.41875 belongs to but it is a control channel.

Any help with a better way to program the Pro-95 would be great. Thank you.

Salt Lake Control Channels

Freq. 868.11250 is broadcast from 5 sites around SLC. Mahogany Peak (8.6 km SSW of Magna), Draper/Point Of the Mountain (3.1 km SSE of Draper), Granite (1.2 km SSE of Sandy), City Creek (4.7 km NNE of Salt Lake) and Jordan Commons (0.9 km SSW of Sandy)

Freq. 868.55000 is also a strong channel transmiting from Nelson Peak Tower (14 km SW of Magna)

The frequencies I use for POM are 866.3250, 866.78750, 867.28750, 867.57500, 867.88750, 868.25000 and 868.72500.

It all depends, sometimes i hear a diffrent control channels some days, but i hope this helps you out a little. If you want i can give you the freq. I have for this area and Utah county, they are diffrent from the ones that are posted on the data base.
