Crews from Balzac, Langdon and Chestermere were reportedly on scene. Can anybody say if CFD responded into that Sparks Egg plant fire yesterday??
I'm sure someone else can speak better to this, but the simple cost of calling in mutual aid makes it a last resort option. Just because CFD is close, doesn't make it the best option for Rockyview - they have plenty of crews that are relatively close. Thanks for the fast reply's!!!! I just found it kind of odd because looking at google maps, this fire was just a couple of minuets from city limits.... but I know CFD has stopped sending mutual aid unless specifically requested by the first in department.
And on another CFD note, There has been a tender put out for a new Mobile Command Vehicle... no word if this is going to replace the "Tri-Service" Mobile Command Vehicle or not, but CFD is getting a new one!!!
Oh, I know about the current #40 - I was just trying to say, why wouldn't they have numbered the Sage Hill hall #39?Might get the guys up in Sage Hill all confused.
Quick note - the new High Rise unit is located at Station 10.CFD's brand new one of a kind High Rise Unit!!!!!!
