Cfd mainwhat frequency/time did they mention radioreference?
460.600 new mainCfd main
I was told the have had some issues on 800. 800 was only temporary they planned to move back after setting up on the new uhf frequencies.Just confirming these are the two frequencies being tested? 460.600 Fire Main and 460.625 Fire Englewood
Also, perhaps someone already answered this, what is the main reason that they are moving from the 800 MHz OEMC system back to UHF?
Especially that "Dave" guy, he must be importantThey just said on Fire Main good bye to everyone at radio reference lol
I was honestly wondering if it was you? LoL you seem well connected with CFD.Especially that "Dave" guy, he must be important
"Hi Dave in Northbrook" lolThey just said on Fire Main good bye to everyone at radiorefference lol
I don't know anything... Working for CFD as a paramedic for 27 years, Midway last 13 of them, I made friends along the way.I was honestly wondering if it was you? LoL you seem well connected with CFD.
Yes, the entire system is "encryption capable." Whether or not is used is dependent on the users."Hi Dave in Northbrook" lol
Also at 11:26 on fire main they said "I was on encrypted" are these P25 freqs encryption capable?
so the fire dept can easily switch between encrypted and clear? Or just the radio techs have that ability?I don't know anything... Working for CFD as a paramedic for 27 years, Midway last 13 of them, I made friends along the way.

The system can be switched to encryption since all the radios and consoles have the keys loaded. AES256 type programmed.so the fire dept can easily switch between encrypted and clear? Or just the radio techs have that ability?
Ah, so who actually can decide if they switch to enc?The system can be switched to encryption since all the radios and consoles have the keys loaded. AES256 type programmed.
They'll call me and ask🤣🤣Ah, so who actually can decide if they switch to enc?
haha so its different from the federal government, where a federal agent apparently has a encryption switch on their radioThey'll call me and ask🤣🤣
The important people make that decision and you never ask about their true identities..🤫😎😎😎
Hopefully we won't find out.haha so its different from the federal government, where a federal agent apparently has a encryption switch on their radio
