Hmmm...my changes haven't taken effect as of 11-14-04 at 17:27 Hours. I wonder what's taking so long?

Sorry, I am from out of state and only visit MDW area occasionally. I assumed what I looked at when I chekced after seeing your post was the new stuff. I take back my "awesome", until I see the new stuff.

Thanks still applies, though Dave.

Your welcome in advance Jim. I was just wondering aloud why my changes haven't taken effect.... :?

TSA at Midway

TSA at midway is Astro-25, mode correct. Digital needs a pl of 67.0. I never understood the layout. The TSA personnel I saw had what look like a moto Jt1000. Anyone have any idea on the exact model in use by TSA, Dave? Curosity I guess in style choice, I would think its national wide accepted and as far as channel layout goes as well. It has to be attached to a repeater as well, especially for coverage at big airports like O'hare and midway.

So for the conventional APCO-25 stuff.. it should be posted as PL of 67.0 mode APCO-25.. nice heads up.. will be also looking for this one at the Jackson, MS International Airport (JAN),.. never looked for the TSA one ther,.. so the nationwide freq should work here also?

I really don't know the model of radio used. I did get an initial PL of 67.0 as I previously posted. They are on a repeater. Mostly heard is just the jibber-jabber of TSA employees. I have it locked out. I know the M.C.C. does not monitor this frequency. Also, all talkgroups listed are now "official". Still waiting to here what TG 10064 is. Also, 10096 heard used once, a long time ago. Other than that, all are official.

The PRO-96 decodes digital in FM mode. No PL or DPL. Digital conventional doesn't use them...

Not digital, just apco 25 compilant correct. Making the use of pl's or ctcss making sense. Vhf-Gov sector-Conventional with apco 25 technology on a repeater tone 0f 67.0. Got it, break

However, there is no channel layout or type of radio still in question. Hum?

To decode conventional ASTRO digital on the PRO-96, you CAN'T use the PL or DPL. It HAS to be in FM mode. If you put in a PL or DPL, it will ignore the transmission. If you try to listen to the TSA in PL or DPL Search mode, you'll hear un-decoded digital.
