This is the official thread for the Consumers Energy rebanding project. Please feel free to post any findings that you might have regarding frequency changes. This would include an updated LCN for each tower site.

Here is a list of current license applications that are pending before the FCC. If you scroll through the list, you will find Consumers Energy Company. I am sure that additional applications will be forthcoming in the next few weeks.

Northville Site #9 and Dundee Site #17 have been tentatively changed. However, with additional frequencies being added, these two sites are sure to change again.

I couldn't find any Wayne County sites for Consumers.

Where do they operate in Wayne Co?

***Many system updates are taking place as a result of rebanding; please submit known LCN numbers and associated frequencies where possible***

With rebanding happening the Consumers Energy database will be needing help especially in the LCN numbers that are required to listen to this system.

Help in determining the lcn numbers.

EDACS

I use Unitracker for this EDACS system to find the LCN's. PSR 500 pumping data to Unitrunker. It will display all LCN's in use then it's up to you to find the frequencies that go into those LCN's.

I find by scanning 1 MHz at a times on another 1 or 2 radios helps. Look at the Unitrunker log and watch the hit counter and listen for activity. Once you hear activity on a frequency hold it and make sure it matches one of the LCN hit counters. Using posted frequencies on RR or even the licensed frequencies per site may not help. Many sites use licensed frequencies but they aren't licensed at that site making it a bit challenging to map it out but it works. Best time is during the day weekdays because the activity on the raio is higher. Or after a storm or during a power failure will increase your chances too.
