Cook County Illinois TRS

Looks like Cook County has launched their Astro Digital Radio System. All i see is tons of encrypted traffic. All of the street units have disappeared from band 3 154.995 all that you hear is the dispatch/one sided traffic

only the police on the north & south frequency are left. Courts are all gone too. the only thing that remains analog is the 4034 site at the jail.

has anyone been able to monitor any digital unencrypted traffic/tg's yet ?

Who posted the latest info on this system? Bridgeview Control 2000? I think the Bridgeview system is simulcasting Cook County Jail Talkgroups. Anyone else verify this info, mainly the person that posted the latest update in the Database?

3536 Bridgeview Control heard someone callling Bridgeview Control

as for Cook County Dept. of Corrections System there is a talkgroup id
2544 there talking about toliet paper ,supplys iam just wondering if they spilt
Cermak EMS / Janitors in to there own talkgroups ?

I so far have heard no Bridgeview activity on here. All the talkgroups you mentioned are Cook County Jail Talkgroups that are simulcasting on the Bridgeview site. 3536 is a Talk group at the Jail. 2096 is as well. I was listening today and all activity was 26th California related. Saw alot of encrypted Talkgroups as well . Please double check and give it a little more listening. Let us all know...thanks.

I have been listening all day on both sites Cook County Jail and South Site so i know what i hear i can hear the jail no problem in Oak Lawn useing two 6 element yagi @ 60ft with LMR-400 2 discones @ 40ft with LMR-400 so i know my rigs have ears they dont miss a thing.

Now that where on talkgroups ID 512 ,17120 on Chicago Public Safety
need help on them.

Not to start a flame war but there is a difference between simulcasting and Multiselect (MSEL)
There using MSEL from the jail as you can see from the pagefile from trunker

A Simulcast network has multiple sites operating on the same frequencies

A MultiSelect only lasts for as long as the User makes the call. A MultiSelect announcement may operate in two forms, similar to patching.

the cook county digital trunked system will all be encrypted. so don't waste your time on the sheriff. the sheriff police want both mobile and portable radios and we could only hope if this is the case too much $ for encryption of both the mobiles and portables and we will listen to them once again. one sheriff copper was just at the hospital i work at and he said that a tower was struck by lightening...he didn't know which one. and informed me that the system will be encrypted. so the id reporting really doesn't mean a thing. luckily i live in lake county and northwest central dispatch isn't encrypted. enjoy

Any speciffic system to listen to? Countys VHF radio Traffic is at in all time low, was the switch completed? Any new updates would be helpful? I guess I'll have to plug the system back in again.

If you are on the Southside the South site or If you are on the Northside the North site for listening. The Ruby site frequencies are the North site There is no Ruby Simulcast.
