I heard the techs working on the system are still trying to design it. Not sure if it is true. But makes some sense if systems are going on and off.

This may sound like an odd question but why are they switching, is the EDACS system inadequate? Looking at the coverage of the new towers it seems that the EDACS system with its towers has better coverage than the new system, unless there will be more towers? On a related note, are there more frequencies for the Flour Bluff site? All I see is one and it’s a control channel. If I recall correctly EDACS needs more than a control channel?

Harris discontinued support for EDACS in 2017.

If the database only shows one frequency and it's marked as a control channel it probably means nobody has submitted the rest of the frequencies.

I caught the following on the Flour Bluff site using DSD plus. Signal was weak at time and could not confirm the first freq so did not submit. The others match existing EDACS

Brooks County has a new application for system that that appears to be a part of the Coastal Bend System. I caught the Encino site 53 twice now with skip coming in from the south. A site in Falfurrias should also be coming on-line. Will submit to database when license is issued.

If it’s online and you can confirm where the signal is coming from we can still add it since it is on the air. We can add the license later.
