Word is DPD is supposed to start the transition at the end of February; a division at a time with a week between divisions.

Constable 1 35081
Constable 2 35082
Constable 3 35083
Constable 4 35084
Constable 5 35085
I assume those match their precinct numbers, but I haven't confirmed that.

Supposedly, when all is said & done, Dallas PD & Dallas Fire Rescue should be on Layer 1. But at present, I'm seeing DPD & DFR talkgroups coming across on both Layer 1 as well as Layer 2.
I'm wondering if they'll continue simulcasting them on Layer 1 and Layer 2 for coverage. At least where I'm at in NE Tarrant County, it seems like Layer 1 is much weaker in signal than Layer 2.

I'm in North Dallas and it is the opposite for me. I have way better signal on Layer 1

Sorry outsider looking in. Can I ask what system this discussion is about and is it in the RRDB? I'm heading to Dallas this week I'd like to try it on the scanner.

Dallas is in the process of moving to the NTIRN system.

A number of DFR companies going out of service for radio training, either a single station, or two or more gathering at one station. Earlier this morning, Engine and Truck 33, plus Engine 26, all went out of service for training at Station 14.

Fire station 14 is where Battalion Chief 6 is housed. 33s is in the 6th Batt

Lancaster appears correct - TG 36085 through TG 36094 was each briefly tested with "Lancaster Fire" or Lancaster Police" - to add to the above: 36089 - EMS OPS 1, 36090 - EMS OPS 2, 36091- SPEC OPS, 36093 - Training, 36101 - PD Traffic
It would be nice if someone in that area would create a Lancaster PD feed

So far, I am not picking up anything for Lancaster.

I suspect that at some point, we’ll see the other 3 ‘Best Southwest’ cities in the 36xxx range of talkgroups. Hutchins and Wilmer might also land nearby to that range.

Talkgroup 35075 was active this afternoon.

It appears to be some sort of dispatch talkgroup.

They were talking about a traffic hazard on a road somewhere. A few minutes later they were talking about a suspicious vehicle.

I believe that is a Dallas County Sheriff training channel.

I heard that tg sometime in the past, my note said it sounded like training. Maybe an academy talkgroup. In fact just pulled it up and a unit asked for a scenario. Shortly later they dispatched a scenario 2.
