DCFD will be distributing 60 radios to 'navigators' for FEMA units (or for "navigators" for mutual aid units).

There seemed to be some confusion as to whether the radios were supposed to go to "FEMA" units or "mutual aid" units - possibly the FEMA units were the same as the "mutual aid" units.

Peter Sz

Are these radios set up on the DCFD trunked system, or on a FEMA channel that is patched to a DCFD talkgroup?

Again, what is arcsoft? I'm guessing you have one of the object oriented scanners, so you really mean ARC500. It's important to get this right, as there are so many applications for different scanners, and they are not all compatible with one another. Besides if there's something new, we'd all like to know about it. BuTel puts out numerous packages for different scanners. For what scanner is your file built?

Park PD search for some purse snatchers. Eagle 1 and a K9 are on scene. Traffic is on 166.275MHz, their Tac channel. My stream is up, but labeled wrong in ProScan...Berkeley Co, WV but in red right now. They got one suspect.

Made it down to the Marine Corps memorial today to do some listening. All the RF down there had my scanners doing some odd things like receiving MPD traffic in the 390mhz range. What I heard on 399.6375 matched that of 8 Tac 91-866.5125.

Logged 406.325, 406.450 and 416.8875 all with NAC 3D0.
163.475 had the same comms as DC IO 168.875 NAC 653.
168.2625 NAC 71F
154.935 CTCSS 127.3 I was hearing US Park PD dispatch.
455.0875 CTCSS 136.5 was some guy giving instructions for a concert or TV production. It transmitted continuously.
169.66 (probably. 6625 since the step was screwed up at the time) NAC 71F.
A real unknown is 156.1875 NAC 293 .

I spent very little time actually listening to what I found. There is just so much going on. I was also be listening to and running Universal Trunker on the JNCR site.
Frequency overload!

I'll be working tomorrow. Maybe someone else can ID these.

Yeah, if you're going to the event, I would leave the extended duckies at home - use the stock one, or even better, one of those very short duckies. Also be prepared to use the ATT function if you have one. The RF downtown is horrendous without any type event, now it's likely to be even worse.

Good morning everyone!!! MontCo. Fire + CERT is using talkgroup 4592 (74E MOPS - Major Incident Operations) for communications. They are helping out WMATA with crowd control. Aslo, I just discovered a new talkgroup 32784.. MontCo. Fire + CERT is using this talkgroup as an alternate channel.

yup
Sorry - I dont have any further info on the radios for the navigators. I just heard some DCFD units talking about it on a live scanner feed. It was my impression however that they were talking about DCFD owned radios - which I assumed would be 800 mhz trunked radios. But I could be totally wrong. Peter Sz

Sounds like they have found a suspicious package somewhere.

This is a good feed here . Been listening for about 10 minutes or so now. Wish they had the ID's listed though. I'm not sure what I'm listening to. Does anyone have a list on what channels this feed is scanning?

Will someone be putting up an online scanner today for the inaug? Or has the Secret Service stopped that? :)

Thanks,

Text Fiies

Note to Skypager RE: posts 117 and 120.

Have tried to change the extensions on the Win500 file but it does not seem to take it. Can not get rid of the "Text" indication and Win500 will not reconize it.

Any suggestions.

Thanks

Seems to be a combination of DC FD and DC MPD talk groups.
At least one of the talkgroups is MPD CityWide 2, delayed about 60 seconds.

It sounds like with everyone leaving they are losing some of the streets that they had clear.....Hearing some extremely excited voices on the feed.
