Here is a very quick list of stuff heard during today's events. Some of these freqs are not in the files currently available - amend and add as needed. If there are other corrections or additions I'll get them out tomorrow

143.85 "BEEHIVE OPS" for 112th FS Toledo - being used for interflight.
273.95 NIGHTHAWK helos (USMC Quantico)
276.55 ARROW Interflight
315.90 Tankers AAR
228.00 AR777 primary
315.9 AR777 secondary

CAP/Huntress:

228.9 (Huntress)
139.7 AM (Huntress)
260.9 (Huntress)
269.5 (Boom freq now being used for MUDDY units- CAP)
350.25 (Guard Dog)
135.525 (Guard Dog)
277.35 (CAP AAR)
257.35 ARROW A-A
324.6 Tankers AAR
324.0 GOLIATH Alpha (E 3B AWACS Tinker AFB OK) calling PELICAN 01
251.25 NAVY PTD at Andrews
326.475 (ARROW units Eglin AFB F15 interflight)

Customs:

165.2375
165.4625
166.5875
350.025 (should be 350.2500, I'm pretty sure)

Others:

126.55 Potomac TRACON (really the well known alternate to 135.525)
167.4625 FBI
345.00 CG 'GUARDIAN' helos interflight
Note the new tac name - not 'BLACKJACK' as been heard in earlier exercises
This is one of the 4 new UHF CG freqs as already listed in the files

Analog POTUS System

The system designated POTUS seems to be the old analog Arlington system.

Can I safely take this out? Is it no longer used? I need to do a huge clean up of my analog freqs. The redundancy is completely unecessary, unless multiple squelch modes are used to differentiate.

A Pro-96 file would also be very nice. Hmmm--I do have one, but not as comprehensive as my WIn500 file.

It's still used. I'm not clear on the Arlington digital transition plan. Both the analog and the P25 systems are both active. But I don't know whether the digital system duplicates the analog system or not.

Mike_s see earlier messages in this thread. I posted FreeScan and BCTool files, both of which should work with the 996. The BCTool file is for a 396, but it should be a snap to load into a 996.

[edit] Links for those 2 apps;

Freescan: http://scannow.org/
and the user manual is at: http://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/FreeScan_User_Guide

BCTool: http://www.bctool.org/ (use the beta version - it's really 'production' code)

Thanks. I tried both, neither will import a p500 file. I'll look for something.

EDIT: I used the Demo of Win500 and just copied and pasted into Excel and saved as a CSV.

Inauguration file for Pro-96

The original file was created by dc2wheel. I filled in any and all empty spaces with conventional fed and other freqs. It's not hugely organized, but the Fed stuff is jammed in. The new generation of scanners would be better suited for better organization. I guess I could take all the freqs I put in here, into my Pro-95 instead and carry 2 scanners. Hmmmm.

This file might drive the heavily organized scannist a bit bonkers.

I hope the security at the parade route doesn't confiscate scanners.

I looked at the CSV file by ka3jjz. I have to learn the art of minimalism. Way too many redundancies. I'll eventually clean it up.

A quicky Pro95 file--some tags--not many

This was copied and pasted together. Things are mixed up, but tons of fed, media, wireless, PD, transport freqs for DC. Last minute--sorry about the mess. This will probably be a 2nd scanner for the trip.

any app to convert this to excel or something else that I can use with my 996?

Mike see messages 67 and 70 in this thread for files for your 996 (which is what I was trying to convey last night). They have files for FreeScan and BCtool, both of which will work with that radio. I would recommend FreeScan since it better supports the new firmware's options. BCTool hasn't been updated yet.

Drivin, thanx for the 95 file.

Mike, that 350.025 is a good CBP Customs UHF Air Marine Ops channel. Not sure why you thought it should be 350.250.

I could have sworn I had seen it reported as 350.25, I could easily be wrong. Thanks for the correction

[edit] Some other stuff from the milcom sticky in the Maryland forum to update the list given earlier.

Add 273.55 (Huntress) and 306.35 (ARROW comms) to the list.

Per Tinear...
The UHF side of 126.55 is 269.5, not 269.55
Primary pair is 135.525/350.25 and Secondary 126.55/269.5

Today I understand the ARROW interflight is 276.55, per the Milcom sticky thread. Watch that thread for further milcom stuff - those guys are good.

Just to clarify for the newcomers - both FreeScan and BCTool are freeware apps for the Uniden DMA driven scanners. ARC500, PSREdit500 and Win500 are the main players for the GRE (and RS-cloned) Object oriented scanners. Scan Control recently added those radios to their software, but the support isn't nearly as mature as the other 3. Links for all 4 packages, along with support suggestions are in this wiki article...

Two different memory-driven technologies, so they won't work together. Different strokes for different folks, as they say 73 Mike

Just a question concerning the DC Police TS.
I notice that I only have one trunking table.
380 759 380 458.775000 12.500

Is this outdated? I'd like to fix it up before heading down to DC.

See this article, under the 'Setting VHF/UHF offsets' section - table lines 02 through 05 can be safely ignored for the UHF DC TS, but there are 2 lines needed to make this work correctly. I think those values you have are not correct. FMon alerted me on another post, and I have updated the affected articles

AFAIK those are correct, Jeff. Fortunately it's easy to fix the tables if it's wrong As he has it there, it would be set up the following way;

ch lo/ch hi/offset/base freq/step
