Thanks, that helps. It looks like it is picking tower in ST. Davids. I cant aim at Chads ford I live in a rental no outside antenna allowed or antenna police will fine you.
Chadds Ford/Pennsbury is an extremely directional site that you are in the null for so I wouldn't shoot for that one. Id try for the Prison/Cheyney site which is omni or WPLY/Newtown which is omni at almost 400ft. Willistown is also extremely directional and you would be in the null.

1. I notice all of the consoles currently are displaying UID of 200 and appear to be some sort of patch and not the unique UIDs that were laid out here in the forums a while back. Is this slated to change? The audio quality on these is noticeably degraded in comparison to the field units.

2. For those who worked on this system and/or are monitoring things from behind the scenes, what are your impressions so far, from a technical standpoint? Everything working as expected? Any issues besides Delco Debbie's bad English lol? I've been watching the activity on SDR Trunk at times, and the voice channel loading is very light so far. I know there's still a few sectors to move over, but I doubt there will be any loading issues except for maybe a very rare severe storm or something like that. Just curious how the transition has gone from behind the scenes.

There will always be old-timers that dislike digital. They have a preference and that's ok. The truth is, digital (to me) may not have the audio clarity that analog has, but digital beats the dog s--t out of the old analog system. Taking Whiskey's example, now we can hear Chester PD in Radnor. How did analog Sector 3 sound out there? Get used it, folks. Digital is not going anywhere.
Well remember to the users have to get used to the digital sound as well - there were plenty of comments from users talking to other users - jokingly saying hey you sound like someone else or is that really your voice.

It is just like anything - things take time to get used to....my home in PA is right next to Chester so I was used to the "regular" activity from there - now it is fun monitoring them again since it is good to see nothing changes....24-21 respond to husband being chased down 9th street by wife holding a knife.

One of my neighbors who is a firefighter in the county said they were told and here is the text from him...

I was nice on my reply - although was laughing - I think he misunderstood what they were told.

I thought about telling him carry quarters with you and when that happens put a quarter in the radio and you get 15 more mintues of use.

What kind of scanner do you need now to listen to the new system? Do they have the frequency to sector 1 yet Delaware county?

Debbie's audio sounds a whole lot louder than the bases & portables. I had to set a -3 offset on my SDS100 to equalize her with everyone else. What a loud mouth :ROFLMAO:

I'd recommend a Uniden SDS100, SDS150 (brand new model, very expensive) or SDS200 to bring in the new system. Sector 1 made the migration yesterday. Welcome to the forums!

I lost all the control channels here in Chester County. got 4 bars but no data is showing. Yagi is pointed towards St.Davids. Using SDS 100.
I tried telling you you'd probably not have any luck with St Davids (Radnor) here. Try pointing it towards the sites Steve suggested in post #981

When will County PD (Sheriff, parks) make the switch, tomorrow?
Sheriff units were just active on Sector 1 with a running subject who was apprehended
I guess I should reword my question since I'm still hearing ops on their legacy channel (506.4125). When will this channel be silenced & assuming they'll move to TGID 224?

Another question for @stevecast2024 or anyone else. On PD radio what's meant when Delcom calls "Name and number"? as in (station## name and number) The officer's name and badge # or something else? No reply from officer other than "OK"

TG 224 was active with the same unit that assisted in the apprehension mentioned earlier - although the activity including the foot pursuit was on Sector 1

A person calls in and wants to talk to the police on the phone.....so Mr Smith calls in and DELCOM call the police over the air and says contact DELCOM for a name and number - Mr Smiths name and phone number is provided to the officer calling DELCOM

Down here that goes over the chat they use with dispatch I am sure Delco has something similar - but not sure
