I feel PayPal did me wrong in the past so I'm done with PayPal. Will not use them

So if Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles did you wrong, would you give up your driver license and never drive again?

Pretty sure author just needs paypal payment with an email (your email) to send updates to. Do you have a friend or family member who does not share the same views as you that uses PayPal?

@dave3825 makes a great point. Anyone can send the money via Paypal to dsdplusfastlane@gmail.com. If the person with the Paypal account who sends the money is not you, then the person would simply need to leave a note with the payment providing the email address that the payment (and Fast Lane) is to be tied to. That's so that you could actually receive the Fast Lane instead of the person with Paypal. That oughta be doable.

Really, you've heard that? I have never heard of any payment method other than Paypal. I can't wait to hear the results of this discussion.

I do believe I have saw somewhere on RR that somebody contacted the dsd email and they were allowed to send a payment method other than paypal. But it was awhile ago and I can't seem to find it, so it's possible that I'm thinking of another program - possible proscan lol

Probably because the interface works fine as is, and Tetra isn't supported because author is in the US where almost no one uses Tetra.

Great programs become junk after adding a GUI even basic. CLI is the best way to go to keep it lightweight

Yeah, well, neither do I. But I still upgrade all the time to have the alias feature.

That could be done and I do have a private domain that I can make up a temporary email address but it's the principal, I feel PayPal did me wrong in the past so I'm done with PayPal. Will not use them anymore in anyway.

Honestly, I wasnt a big fan of PayPal a few years ago. They were horrible back then. But they have definitely turned around quite a lot from what they used to be. Maybe try again?

Great analogy, Dave. Also, I don't think DSD+ sends updates anymore thru emails like they used to. Ive only got one email with the zip link and my password when I purchased it. Maybe one email update directly after, but it has been radio silence since.

DSDPlus FL checks for updates on startup. No more emails, but you need to keep the password from the original signup.

If you have an active paid subscription it is done the the DSD window, there is no link needed. If you do not have a subscription then no one will share the file with you as it is a paid program.

Did you Pay for DSD+ FastLane? If so, Open the program and download the newest update from the MISC window. If not, you have to pay for it first and then will receive a link for it with your own password registered to your email address.

When I purchased it, it was $25, which was for unlimited updates. DSDPlus Fast Lane Program – DSDPlus

$10 USD for one year, $25 USD for lifetime (as @seagravebuff60 said) but I'm guessing sending money through PayPal is difficult for Russians right now.

Yes, Duke Energy is 100% E Harris TDMA CC and we see them for the personal/vehicle radios, but not external (voip?) comms

I'll add that you absolutely have to use something like 7Zip to extract the files as instructed as well. If you try to extract all using the native Windows way it fails every time because it doesn't promp for the password.
