Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t you the only one that has reported this issue? It would be very good to have raw audio of when that happens, and the screenshot of what the audio looks like in the audio window at the time as well as an excerpt from the Log file at the time that this happens
We talked about this back in April '23. Other people had the same thing. I sent some audio to the DSD email.
Thought it was fixed in 2.465 but it still happens. The problem is that when FMPA sees a strong NDXN96 signal
it starts decoding it as TDMA. Changing the BW to 7.6 helps but FMPA changes it back to 9.6. Can't override.
Gonna verify it again though and see if I can get mtindor wants to see.

Your SDR dongle might be overloading! Can't handle local strong signals...

It’s possible the usb device is mainly intended for microphone input levels rather than line level, hence the distortion.
I would try reducing the audio input level in the PC sound settings to begin with.
Can you post an image of the DSD waveform window?

I don't know what's going on at all, I don't want to process the sound, what are these errors, maybe I have something set wrong

First of all, if it says BS DATA, it is NOT voice. It is DATA. You won't hear it. The only time it should attempt to decode voice is when you see BS VOICE frames.

And any errors you are likely to see are probably due to crappy signal.

If you can, try to use windows snip for screenshots. Much easier for folks to see what's going on.

Once it takes the pic, just right click on it, choose copy, and paste into you post.

How is the signal strength on the trx-1 display?

Is your IF output on or off on the scanner, are you inputting IF or just regular audio?

The manual stated that the disc. out is unfiltered audio. So that's a good thing.
It would be good to know the USB audio interface you're using.
A hint would be to look in the control panel>sound settings under recording>advanced and check if you have it set to at least 48000 sr and 24 bit.
The disc. out port should be line level and your interface should be using a line level input. Not the mic. in.
And the level should not be floored. Maybe 60% for starters.
Listen for a signal like NOAA weather and adjust the volume for no audible distortion.I would say less is better for starters.
Then in DSD+, monitor a signal and lower the volume until it stops scrolling data. And bump it up a touch. Then more.
#27 is correct. In DSD+ (fastlane), control>passive digital monitor.
You may have to wait for an audio signal on a chosen freq. and tweak the audio level.
Also pay attention to the proper IF bandwidth for the signal. Don't choose too narrow.
I'm very new to this btw. It's just what I've found out that may help you.

You'd have been better off buying a $30 RTL dongle. So your plan is to get the SB PLAY and then push your TRX output into it? I don't think it is every going to work as well as using a simple RTL dongle.

NOAA weather radio stuff is 162.400 +- range. I forget the exact range. 162.400-162.575 maybe, in 25 khz increments. Just about everybody has one near enough to them to hear.

As mtindor said. 162.5 MHz or close to.
I looked at the user guide for the SB. It has a mic. input. For mics that are supplied current. In other words not dynamic microphones.
A way better and inexpensive external USB audio device is the Behringer UCA-202. It's plug and play and uses line level in/outs.
If you find that your disc.out uses just 2 contacts. Tip and sleeve. Be sure you use the jack for headphone with separate mic. input.
It would be a good idea to check the plug in to the radio with a multimeter for no voltage back from the SB.
But you'll probably find the output of the scanner is just too high for a mic input.
Good luck!

The "Manual" is the NOTES file in your DSD+ folder, the purple are LRRP hits, either LRRP Packet Data which can be viewed in the Packet Data window or GPS data which can be viewed in the LRRP.exe program in your DSD+ folder. You should take a screen shot or use the Snipping Tool when you post shots of the screen, so people can see the info you are asking about better.

Howdy.

Is there a way of blocking calls from PSTNI ? I tried blocking RID 16776896, but that didn't work.

It's just more than a bit annoying. I am more interested in listening to calls that I have not blocked. PSTNI filters through and is undesirable.

I tried adding "PSTNI" as a radio ID and blocking it and no go with that.

Cheers Team.
