What is the general practice among Air Band monitors when programming ARTC and their RCAG sites when you encounter repeated frequencies spread among multiple RCAG sites? Do you pick the closest RCAG and use that as your descriptor or not worry about it and just pick one? Do you just leave the duplicate frequencies?

Are you actually able to confirm you are hearing all the RCAG sites or just aircraft?

no just aircraft that’s why I am considering deleting the duplicates while trying to pick the closest RCAG transmitter sites. Was wondering how others handle it.

It doesn't make any sense to have duplicates. They are identical frequencies. You would probably be better of naming them something like ZAU Sector 2 or something like that.

I noticed some centers like Los Angeles, Oakland, Sa- and Seattle don't even have labels, just sectors number which I never understood

If you haven't already, I would strongly recommend running band searches over VHF airband to know for certain what RCAG freqs/sites you can hear from your location. It's pretty straightforward because these sites tend to have regular activity, and it's pretty obvious if you're hearing the ATC side vs. the Airplane side.
