On Saturday, February 19th, 2011 just as several members of the Fire Company were returning for a time of fellowship at the fire station following the funeral services of Life Member and long time Bingo worker Beulah Steen, the Chester County Fire Radio dispatched units at 1213 from the Westwood Fire Company, one Engine from the Modena Fire Company, one Engine from the Sadsburyville Fire Company, and a Tanker from the Cochranville Fire Company to a reported house on fire in the 100 block of North Inverness Way in the Brook Crossing Development in East Fallowfield Township.

Calls to 911 from a neighbor indicated smoke coming from a home.

Engine 44-5 responded two minutes after the call to 911 at 1215. The East Fallowfield Police Department arrived on the scene at 1216 and reported smoke coming from the garage door with unknown occupancy inside the home.

Rescue 44 responded at 1218.

Engine 44-5 arrived on the scene at 1220 and noted visible smoke and fire damage to the exterior siding of the home, extending from a perimeter mulch bed. Chief McWilliams quickly deployed a hose line and began to extinguish the remainder of flames and soaked down areas that were smoldering.

Battalion Chief Sly, operating Engine 44-5, established the "Inverness Command Post" at Engine 44-5 and reported that the fire was contained, with additional work needed inside the home to ensure no fire had extended into the dwelling.

The crew from Modena Engine 37-2 arrived at 1224 and was given the task of checking the second floor and attic area of the home.

Sadsburyville Engine 31-1 arrived and the crew stood by in case of additional needs.

The fire was officially declared under control at 1227. Cochranville Engine 27-5 was requested to proceed in to the scene at a reduced speed.

Firefighters on the scene quickly determined that the fire was contained to the exterior of the structure. The East Fallowfield Township Fire Marshals determined the cause to be accidental in nature.

The Command Post was terminated and all units cleared the scene at 1251.
