ALCO east cells of EBRCS

The latest progress report shows there are just 6 cells in the EBRCS. Radio Ref database shows 7 cells (2 cells called ALCO East - one as simulcast and the other not). Is the ALCO East cell using 800 mHz not being scheduled for use or was it just dropped (rebanding??)

There are 7 sites active, 6 simulcast 1 standalone.

ALCO east (non simulcast) is the only stand alone site up and running for fringe areas the ALCO east simulcast site doesn't cover.

The other stand alones are EB parks, niles, marsh creek, station 53

ALCO East repeater stand-alone

I presume then that is the repeater site listed as "Crane Ridge" since the Niles Canyon site is still under construction?

Been hearing quite a bit of testing this afternoon - talk groups 7605, 6013 and 7724. Always just "Testing 1,2,3" etc. Any idea which agency these are likely to be?

If you can grab any Motorola radio IDs, if your scanner is capable. We have a list going and try to confirm TGs via radio IDs used on known TGs.

Also helps which site you were hearing these on. Based on that, we can rule out Fremont PD if your listening on the COCO Central site for example.

I can capture radio IDS and will do so tomorrow.

Thanks for your suggestion. I will be running a tracking log tomorrow and can probably tie radio IDs to the talk Group IDs.

Don't know what scanner you are using but Pro96Com is a program I use to decode the control channel and log radios/talkgroups.

10 new TGs showed up on CCCO Central today.

6014, 6015, 6016, 6017, 6018, 6019, 6020, 6021, 6023, 6026 - three radios, 4500xxx series. I didn't hear any of the transmissions, so no clue what these are as of now.

I wish CC central came in better for me! I don't have enough for a decode

I wish I had time to sit here and monitor the audio transmissions during the day. I imagine they will be patching all the analog UHF (and there's a TON of it in Contra Costa) onto the system fairly soon. Lots of activity afoot.

I'm completely lucky to be able to receive two cells - Central and West. I know they moved Cummings from the Central cell to the West and that's where I'm getting my West signal from - its just amazing that the RF penetrates down into my current location... you should see my antenna setup! All indoor!

I always forget what radios you have. If you have Unidens, you can log TGs and record audio with Freescan :)

New TG identified.

TG 7715 - Contra Costa County Sheriff Dispatch East (previously known as 155.1900).

VHF is patched onto EBRCS Central and active at this time. Not sure if its active on any other EBRCS cells at this time.

Submission created.

Edit to add: 7715 CCSO East is NOT active on the CCCO West Cell. Curiously, West is still active on the Central cell, as it has been for a long time.

Software for Pro 197

Trip: The Win 500 software will run your scanner and make logs and record transmissions. It works well.

I heard the techs testing a couple of new TGIDs on ALCO East Simulcast today: 3305 & 3308. Earlier, I heard a tech say that the console levels at Livermore were set and that he was going up to Sunol for the day. My guess is that these new IDs belong to Livermore PD. Time will tell, and hopefully soon.

Livermore PD active now on TGID 3305. Heard some testing with units 202 and 203. Then the dispatcher said they would "roll it over" and as of about 12:20 p.m. this afternoon they were operational on EBRCS East Simulcast Cell. Soon after I heard a crash on First Street dispatched. There was additional testing on TGIDs 1012 and 1024, but my guess is these will be assigned to ACSO East Dispatch. They will be the big players for this cell as well as the county jail at Santa Rita.

TG 7805 - CCCO Central Cell - units using call signs of Parole-6, Parole-7, Parole 1, and Parole-5 coordinating a meeting tonight at the East County Office. Sounded pretty routine.

They were using CCSO radios 4077xxx series.

I was unaware of CoCo having Parole officers - they do, however, have a Probation department.

For now, I'm logging 7805 as CCSO Parole Enforcement. kma, I'll leave it up to you if you want a submission on this one.
