How is HPD supposed to move to EBRCS without a dispatch console upgrade? Forgive me, but I don't see how HPD using ALCO narc channels means they are moving to EBRCS.
I believe there's an assumption on Ben's part. Hayward PD was setup with several channels on ALCO's system a long time ago. For whatever reasons they decided not to join. What remains is a group of portables typically used by narcotics or whomever; no dispatching.

There's a possibility that may not carry-over to EBRCS.

New control channel found today: 774.14375. Looks like site 2 for ALCO East Simulcast. The one that had been active, 774.89375 is off the air. I'll hook up Pro96Com later and see what it says.

Has any one drove around and done any signal strength testing of the different Simulcasts? I'm getting COCO central and Alco east from Livermore. Figured I'd be able to pick up COCO east and Alco NW and SW with a yagi from here also.

ALCO SW is very weak here in Fremont. I did hear the tech's mobile in the Niles area and one saying that they should hear Coyote Hills from there. Whether Coyote Hills or Warm Springs, I should hear them much stronger so my guess is that they are at reduced power or the antenna is low level. This is probably why they are not being received in the Livermore valley.

Bear in mind that many of the locations are not online yet. For example, the Alameda County Northwest Simulcast Cell isn't technically simulcast yet because, per the December newsletter, Glenn Dyer is the only site currently online. UC Berkeley and Skyline are currently at the installation phase, so one would expect they should be pretty close to coming online.

BTW, did anyone catch voice traffic related to the work they were doing on Alameda County's Gold Elite consoles on Sunday? I didn't hear a peep on AlCo NW or CCCo West, and I can't get AlCo's Smartnet system from my location.

Plenty of affiliation and tech voice test activity today and yesterday on the COCO Central cell... I'm about two blocks from the Pine Street site. COCO Central was decoding at about 40-60% up until a few days ago when it pegged at 99%... I think Pine Street just came online.

Also, several voice hits this afternoon... radio techs testing, of course. The transmissions I heard ("test, test, tech testing") were very poor, lots of "pixelating" and digital noise (for lack of better terms).

Another new control channel for ALCO East Simulcast: 773.66875. The other two were not broadcasting last night, but found this one while doing a "search".

The signal strength here in Fremont is about the same and the tower number indicated is 102, like the others. I'll run pro96com later and see what the affiliates are.

Whatever change they recently made on the central coco cell is horrible.. Every transmission today is robotic and barely decodes....

My 197 was decoding at 40-70% for most of the day today, but now it is pegged back up to 99% and steady.

This one already in the DB for site 2.

I find it odd as I ran pro96com this morning that site 104(Alco NW) is the only site that isn't affiliating with Alco East. Same info as reflected on your report..
