FB page says they are looking for a vocalist, but no mention of needing a drummer.

I would say something snarky about *booking* information*. But. I won’t.

I think he was referring to DWC getting indicted.
Correct. If both the principals of a Harris' reseller are indicted, then convicted for bribing a government official to buy their product, they should drop them like used toilet paper. With FBI's 93% conviction rate, they don't indict someone unless their ducks are in a row. I don't think Moto would hesitate doing the same.

Someone should also look into the way VIA upgraded their radio system. DWC touts it on their website. VIA did NOT do an RFP to my knowledge; instead they did an upgrade in place with DWC.

San Antonio tried to do that with the current system until Bexar County found out that DWC had provided an unsolicited proposal that essentially kicked the “P25 can” down a few years while doing an in place upgrade. Had the City done so, they would have all but guaranteed DWC keep the business. But because the County objected so feverishly and made a big stink over it within political circles, the City dropped the idea (but not really) and proceeded with the RFP. But what the City did do was require that vendors submit an “alternative” proposal that basically did the same thing that DWC has proposed - delay P25 upgrade, add coverage and replace radios. The group tasked with reviewing the proposals spent 6 months documenting why that was such a bad idea; luckily the executives agreed and the focus turned to fully replacing the system. But the animus towards Motorola was evident. And guess what, Motorola didn’t get the bid. Kinda like Salazar’s campaign for Axon body cameras that he finally got at great taxpayer funding waste.

Forgot about the body cam sham. BCSO totally stonewalled the existing vendor, Utility, leaving hundreds of cameras unused on the shelves, because that idiot SAPD sergeant that Salazar hired as his AC was in bed with Axon.

Trial started today...

You know, I might need to take a trip out that way to see my family. Maybe, a detour might be needed. This is going to be a grand show. I hope this strips the veil of secrecy there. Thanks for posting. I am surely, "having a laugh." Oh, I just noticed. This is Federal. They don't play!

Updated story from the link earlier...

The punishment for the first charge, bribery, is 20 years maximum and 10 years maximum for each of the Honest Mail Fraud convictions. Judge Hendrix said the length of time Vasquez will serve in prison will be significant and is a factor in his decision to immediately place Vasquez into jail.

After about an hour in a sealed session held in federal district Judge James Wesley Hendrix's chambers, the trial reconvened in open session. Judge Hendrix said the burden of proof that Vasquez was not a flight risk rested on the defense. He said after hearing arguments from both sides, including classified information given him by U.S. Attorney Jeffry Haag concerning a flight risk, Judge Hendrix ruled that the defense did not convince him that Vasquez should be free on bond awaiting sentencing.

"The U.S. Marshals can now take the defendant into custody," Judge Hendrix ruled. Vasquez was already handcuffed in the courtroom and after brief goodbyes with family and friends he was led away to jail.
