I just drove through Franklin county and before I left I got all the frequencies from the fcc page. They are phase 2 now. Looks like all the talk groups are the same. I think you only need to add the frequencies 151.4675 and 155.355 to the site. They were using 155.355 as the control channel today. I added these 2 frequencies and my sds100 was picking up great.

Yep, you're correct. The owner of the feed that was on Broadcastify was using a Pro-197 if I remember correctly and that's why it went dead. That can only do Phase I. What's crazy to me is that I have 2 PSR-800's and it initally picked up the new Phase II config flawlessly then after a while it completely went dead on both of them. My SDR is still picking it up perfectly but the PSR-800's are silent. If any of you have a BCD436hp that I could test with for a few days that would be greatly appreciated! I sold all my Uniden scanners and I'd love to do some testing with one of those since they can do a CC scan and retrieve all the info. The SDS-100/200's shouldn't have any issue (as you've reported)

Is anyone out there listening to the new system on a Uniden BCD436HP? The feed for Broadcastify is using a BCD996P2 now if I remember correctly but I'm wondering if anyone is able to hear it on a 436HP.

I've had my hands on a G5 and I can agree that it works great. Although the price is steep :) Just not there yet. I was hoping someone had tried it on a BCD436HP because they are a lot easier to come by.

I know this is a little older... but I thought Franklin County went phase 2?

I am receiving it well on my Pro197. Control channel of 155.4300. Pro96com also states Phase 1. Maybe they have reverted?

Hi, thanks for the comment. When you say you’re receiving it well do you mean audio? The control channel is phase 1 but the audio is phase 2. (At least it’s was last time I checked) I ended up giving up and buying a Unication G5 and an SDS100 and can hear everything perfectly now. Still have the RTL-SDR and that’s rock solid too.

Yep, receiving audio. My PRO197 had been in hiding since they switched over last summer. I brought it back out to monitor VIPER and the Franklin county VHF analog simulcasts and noticed it was picking up the Franklin P25 system. The PRO197 isnt Phase 2 so they must have reverted. I will try to record some audio and pass it along shortly.

Well I recorded some however RR must not allow avi or mp4 uploads. Nevertheless, my PRO197 is picking it up perfectly with very little simulcast distortion..

Well now you have my interest up! I am out of town but will surely test when I get back. I know for 100% sure that it was phase 2 recently after the cutover. They added a few new frequencies as well. As mentioned earlier, I have multiple devices both phase 1 and 2 and I was watching the slot positions on phase 2. Plus I sold off all I had to get phase 2 capable equipment because it WAS at least all phase 2. I'm gonna have my Dad check too since he's in town and I know he would be interested as well.

Well, it looks like they are back to Phase I. Not sure on the details or if they will stay there but the video seems to imply that Harris wasn't comfortable with the issues seen in VHF Phase II.

Need we say more. A Harris System.

Give them time Franklin and Wayne Counties will be like Brunswick and Columbus Counties.

They will get rid of their own private systems and switching to Viper.

I figure the same thing will eventually happen in Cherokee, Clay, Macon and Polk Counties when they find out NXDN isn't all it is supposed to be.

You get what you pay for

It sounds like Franklin County’s patience is running out with Harris & RCC. I find it funny we who enjoy this as a hobby saw this coming and the people who’s job it is to make an important $9 million decision that also puts first responders at risk seem to have had no clue what they were getting into. How hard was it to call other Harris users in this state and at least ask “how’s it going with your system or google the words Harris Radio system problems and see the countless news stories from across the country. The Harris rep told the commissioners that the problems are unique to Franklin county and this particular system and I don’t believe that at all. Franklin County Identifies more issues with Harris Emergency Communications Radios and issues Ultimatum
