Quick question.
I will admit, it probably is operator error.
I just can not seem to figure out what I did wrong.

I can log ftp using the read account.
But if I try doing the writable, it says authentication error.

I have the user and pass correct.
And I have restarted it.
Still the writable error.

I even disabled the read, and enabled the write.
Still same error.

I am baffled. Everything is correct, but it just wont log into the writeable.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

The SDS200 needs to be set to the FTP mode to use the writable ftp account:

Thanks. I knew it was somewhere :)
Told ya operator error, LOL

Thank You :)

If using the FTP Writable Account then send the command: GFM,UNIDEN to the scanner first.
Then you can use the writable FTP.
When done, then send EFM,UNIDEN afterwords.

No need to send GFM,UNIDEN before and EFM,UNIDEN afterwards. That's done automatically.

My guess is the writable account password is wrong or the user names are the same for the read only and writable accounts.

{edit} The link in post 2 is if using a standalone FTP Client. ProScan has a built in FTP Client so no need to send GFM,UNIDEN before and EFM,UNIDEN afterwards.

Thanks Bob... I missed the "Proscan" tag in the OP's title, I didn't realize he was FTP'ing from within Proscan.

I wanted to ask, how much longer should ftp take compared to using the usb cable? Mine takes about 4 times longer via ftp. Do I have something set wrong or is ftp just take longer than with the cable?

No settings that I'm aware of. I think it's the nature of FTP. You could try using FileZilla to see if there's speed improvement.

{edit I think FTP would be slower due to the TCP/IP handshaking and error checking. USB Drive file transfer is more at the bus level and just streams the bytes.

Oh, so ftp is slower than usb. Just making sure that I did not have something set incorrectly. I like the ftp
