I was asked to verify the neighbors for this site, compared to those listed in the database. They are, indeed, the same as listed in the database: 5, 9, 13, 18, 19, when listening to the control channel on 461.5875.

Site 12 - Berlin Hgts -- need updated neighbor list

For anybody who may be able to copy Site 12 (Berlin Hgts, Erie County) control channel on 451.9625, when you get time I would ask that you run your SDR software on the 451.9625 control channel and report back the current list of site neighbors.

NOTE TO ALL: remember that there can only be five site neighbors broadcast on a site. So if you see a site broadcasting five neighbors, and it's not broadcasting one of the neighbors you would expect, it is likely because it's limited to 5 and the sysadmin has chosen the 5 neighbors they prefer as the site neighbors or that site.

System 182 Name Change: Futronics UHF Connect Plus (OH-MI)

Hi Folks,

This sytem's name is being changed in the DB. It was "Futronics UHF Connect Plus (Ohio)". However, it is now being renamed "Futronics UHF Connect Plus (OH-MI).

Folks,

If anybody happens to be sleuthing a site and needs a one-stop cheat sheet to determine what [licensed] frequencies might be in use for a particular site, I made up a Google spreadsheet of all of the licenses. Some of the licenses are conventional (nontrunked) DMR licenses as well as one or two analog licenses. The reason for this is that it has already been proven that Futronics does periodically use a frequency off of one of their non-trunked and/or analog licenses as part of one or more of the System 182 trunked sites.

And, always keep in mind that not only may a site's control channel be on 454 mhz, but it is also possible that one or more voice channels on a particular site could be in the 454 mhz range either.

If you're using a scanner to scan for activity, you should scan the 422-425 mhz range, 450-455 mhz range, and 461-465 mhz range.

And if you have a scanner such as the Uniden BCD436HP/BCD536HP, you'll want to go into the Menu --> Srch/CloCall Opt --> Broadcast screen --> Set All Band Off [which is the easiest way of doing it] as well as make sure you are scanning in 6.25 khz steps by going into Menu --> Settings --> Band Defaults --> 450.0 and set it to NFM, 6.25kHz.

That way, when you scan 454 mhz you will be able to pick up any active control/voice channels as well as 6.25 kHz spaced channels in search mode.

Thanks for the update. I'm guessing you saw some of the band opening last night. Or maybe your notes are "over time". I gleaned what I could from them. I'm not adding some of the System 182 stuff I saw listed because it doesn't make sense in some cases. Like a couple of the listed DMR voice frequencies for System 182sites, not matching up with FCC licenses anywhere nearby. Since they don't have LCNs listed, I couldn't addthem to the system, but we can add frequencies to the wiki when we are positive they are part of a site but do not know the LCN.

Looks like you were getting some nice signals from across the water.

I have not had a chance to make it to site 6 and wont at least for another week. But I did find the following voice channels for sites

463.2725 (site 30) ch3/4 LCN 2 tg 10000

Also had control channel fro site 17 coming through and was on a different frequency then listed.
463.660 (17) CC NL 4 6 7 12 14

If site 17 neighbors need updated in db ill do that this evening

This confirms site 6 as Medina for me, as 451.9875 is listed on a Medina license.

463.2725 (site 30) ch3/4 LCN 2 tg 10000

The frequency is 463.275.

I have a feeling you are using an SDR and you do not have it calibrated, as such you are seeing 463.275 as 463.272 and are seeing 463.6625 as 463.66.

I am using SDR it is calibrated small step size and some frequencies decode better a little left or right depending on the conditions.

The DMR/NXDN sites I monitor often decode better slightly off center. Not so far off center to be a separate frequency though (not like 6.25 or 3 khz off -- but sometimes 1-2 khz.

I got a road trip in today and was able to confirm site 5 and 8 are in Michigan.

Site 182-8 is 424.6625 with neighbors of 3,5,20 Located in Detroit between 75 and the river by Greektown Casino.

Site 182-5 is 461.4875 with neighbors of 3,8,9,16 Located a little way north of Pontiac maybe 100 yards off 75.

Site 24 is either Ashland or Nashville. I really will try to do another road trip to figure out which it is.

Thanks to all of you who have contributed. We aren't done now. Now that we know the sites, and we know the licenses [and likely possible frequencies], it's now time to determine how many LCNs are active on each site and then start attempting to determine what frequencies go along with those LCNs.

But I have to reiterate, you all have done a stellar job figuring out the sites!

THanks man. You actually made a road trip to Nashville? I was up in Sugarcreek last week -- stones throw away from it. Knew i was going, but I didn't take the scanner because I didn't feel I'd have time to actually drive there.
