Futronics Findlay Site 182-2 update..
After sufficiently monitoring this site for an amount of time to know that my results are good.

There are 3 LCNs, so there are 6 LSNs.

LCN 1 is 463.2375
LCN 2 is 462.0625
LCN 3 is 463.8750 [this used to be LCN 2]

There are no other LCNs active at this site.

These frequencies are all included on license WNDK593.

464.8125 is no longer active at this site.

Thanks, Dave!

Mike,

There are changes to Futronics Fremont site 182-11. The frequencies for LCN 2 and LCN 3 have changed, but so far I am unable to find the new frequencies. So the following is true:

LCN 1 is 454.375
LCN 2 is ?
LCN 3 is ?
LCN 4 is 452.325

When I find LCN 2 and LCN 3 I will let you know. Not successful so far.

Nothing in the Sandusky or Monroeville active.

In Monroeville you can visually see the Norwalk tower.

But, are you looking at only licensed frequencies or are you also checking 454 mhz? The majority of Futronics control channels are on 454 mhz spectrum. They like to kill two birds with one stone -- mainly they are justifying their auctioned paging spectrum by building out sites on those frequencies.

Searched the 420-440 and 450-470 nothing there.

I got a report of the following online (East of Hanoverton OH area -- basically in Eastern Ohio somewhere).

182-98 454.025 CC

NL: 21, 31, 96, 97, 99

From this I deduce:

1. There is a site 31 online but not in the DB
2. Site 31 is likely in East Ohio too - probably Canton or Navarre or somewhere north of Akron
3. Site 98 is probably a Youngstown Radio Service site

I had seen in FCC documents that Youngstown Radio Service assigned one of their trunked licenses over to Futronics. And there are a handful of remaining YRS sites around in East Ohio. I suspect that 96,97,98,99 are partner sites not directly belonging to Futronics -- and likely belonging to Youngstown Radio Service and serving Mahoning / Trumbull / Columbiana.

No guarantee that 31, 96, 97 and 99 are online, but I'd be willing to bet that all are. And it wouldn't surprise me if the majority of those sites were using a 454 mhz control channel.

It's pretty clear from past reports that Futronics likes to put CCs on the 454 mhz band, and that is likely because they need to show justification / usage to the FCC for their paging spectrum auctioned space. They probably set up most of these sites first and foremost to justify their 454 mhz licenses, with a longer term plan of actually acquiring customers on said sites.

I found activity on 461.875 today. Should be either lcn 2 or lcn 3 for the Fremont site.

For the Fremont site I am seeing the following in use:
452.325
452.725
454.375
461.875

My 436hp is having some issues and wont hold onto a signal when I tried to use the lcn finder. So I will try to use my ws1095 and use the recording time stamps and dsd+ log to find the lcn order tomorrow.

Based upon what I've read in the one 436/536 firmware thread, 1.21 is botched and you''ll either want to go back to 1.20 firmware or just wait for the next version. Apparently they already identified the LCN Finder botch in 1.21 and have it fixed for the next firmware release.

Is Fremont pretty busy? The sites closer to Eastern Ohio are eerily silent pretty much all the time.

There is also a 182-99 active. LIkely also a Youngstown Radio Service site in Salem area or in Austintown area.

182-99 454.125 CC

I tried going back to the 1.20 and also 1.11.31 firmware and lcn and search still does not work.

Looking at the submissions I made to the database the lcn function worked in Jan 17. Since then I sent the 436 in for the clock repair and also the adjust error.Dont think I used it till this last weekend when I discovered the lcn finder and search not longer work. Looks like the problem happened with either the clock or adjust error repairs since rolling back the firmware does not solve the problem.

Fremont is busy on Wednesday. That is Cyclone services trash pickup day here in town and also Madison Motors when they get calls to the turnpike.

I would suggest that what you're hearing on 461.875 is actually Elmwood Local Schools in SE Wood County [License WNFT532]. They use Color Code 8 and Talk Group 11 on this frequency. Did you know which color code or talk group you were hearing?

I find no activity on 452.725.

It's a known firmware issue. Try again when .22 comes out, most likely on Friday.

Dave,

I do not see Elmwood Local Schools listed in the Wood Co DB. Would you be so kind as to make a submission for that at the following link ?

https://www.radioreference.com/apps/submit/?ctid=2126

Thanks!

8000 and 17500 color code 1

452.725 has more hits than 461.875 does.

I ran the lcn finder on my 436hp today on the Fremont site. Programed in the 10 frequencies listed on the license and the control frequency. Set all lcns to 0 and cc to 1

The results are:
454.375 lcn1
461.875 lcn2
452.725 lcn3
452.325 lcn4
These are the same frequencies and lcn order as I got on 11-30-16 when I submitted the 4th lcn to the database.
There has been no changes made to the Fremont site.
