THanks man. You actually made a road trip to Nashville? I was up in Sugarcreek last week -- stones throw away from it. Knew i was going, but I didn't take the scanner because I didn't feel I'd have time to actually drive there.

That's all of the sites now. Time for Futronics to put some more online.

m

I was bored.

It was about a hour and half to Ashland but nothing there so i went all the way down 511 to 39 and over to Nashville. About 2 hours back home.

Nice scenery in that area hill and curvy roads.

I bet it was nice scenery. I was over in New Phila area for a few hours today and the trip out and back was beautiful. Great time of year to travel around. Unfortunately, it won't be long and all the leaves will be gone and it'll look desolate until spring hah.

Damn that's a pretty good trip. I need to find some more things that need sleuthing and give you a list, so the next time you are bored and go out for multi-hour drives we can find something new.

Life must be even more dull for you, considering you felt you needed to waste your time posting in a thread that concerns a system you are uninterested in

Actually, i think you are very interested in the system but either do not have a scanner capable of receiving it or do not know how to program your scanner to receive it.

Dont worry though, because we kill keep rhe thread active with the latest action heard!

Im a Reds fan

New License: WQYQ342 - Marion (Marion Co)

Probably isn't online, but be on the lookout for this one going live. When it does, it'll likely [but not guaranteed] show up as a site neighbor of nearyby sites.

DId you check 454 mhz (on a scanner that doesn't have paging search/scan blocked via settings) ? I ask because it's very common for all of these East Ohio systems to use 454 mhz frequencies along with the typical UHF frequencies. A site could be online but simply not be known because of not scanning 454 mhz.

I'm within a mile of their tower here in Marion with zero activity so far.

Jason,

Do keep in mind that Futronics has a history of using 454 mhz control channels. So, even if nothing is heard on any of hte licensed frequencies, you might also want to check 454 mhz band for any active Futronics CCs that could be related to this site.

Thanks, Jason.

Here is a fairly up to date map of Futronics UHF licenses. I don't think I included any VHF licenses.

https://goo.gl/p5A5cW

If anybody reading this has DSDPlus, please consider searching out active Futronics (System 182) Connect Plus control channels. And if you find any and they are already listed in the database, please compare the neighbor list currently being transmitted with what is listed in hte DB for that site. If they differ, please submit an update.

Futronics licenses with construction notifications

Here are a couple of Futronics sites for which they filed construction notifications, suggesting that these sites may be anywhere from partially built out to fully active. If you are in one of these areas, please check on the presence of these sites.

NOTE: The active control channel for either of these sites could be a 454 mhz frequency, so check 454.000-454.700 or so as well.

It'll identify as a CON+ (Connect Plus) DMR site with system ID 182

WQTT306 - Futronics Akron/Summit

451.2125 FB8
463.6625 FB6
464.025 FB6
464.6625 FB6

WQYQ342 - Futronics Marion/Marion
451.175 FB8
451.875 FB6
452.3875 FB6
452.525 FB8

The following construction notification suggests there may be some new frequencies for the Oregon site:

ULS Application - 0008079108 - FUTRONICS INC - Notification
OREGON (LUCAS)
422.3375
422.5875
422.8375
424.6625

The following construction notification suggests there may be some new frequencies for the Monroeville and Sandusky sites (which aren't even currently listed in our DB):

ULS Application - 0008079149 - Futronics, Inc. - Notification
MONROEVILLE (HURON CO)
461.4125
462.0875
463.7375

SANDUSKY (ERIE CO)
451.1375
451.2125
451.6000

If you are in the Monroeville / Sandusky area, please consider checking for the existence of a System-182 control channel on any frequencies associated with those sites on the license as well as on 454 mhz.

Concerning the Oregon site, today I found 422.8375 to be active. I monitored activity on this frequency with my TRX-1. When I can I will start up DSD+ and see what else I can confirm as far as logical channel number, etc.

Mike,

Here is what I found concerning use of 422.8375. Although this frequency is licensed to Futronics at Oregon, it is also licensed to them for use at their Hill Avenue site (182-10), license WRJ939. That's where it is actually in use as the new control channel, replacing 454.075 (which was never licensed for use). I have proven it's use by using DSD+

Also, I just happened to check the Findlay site (182-2) and found that 464.8125 (WNDK593) is no longer the control channel there, being replaced by 463.2375 (same license).

Back to checking a few more things...

Thanks, Dave. I won't be able to add 422..8375 to the Hill Ave site until we know the LCN of it. Before, 454.075 was LCN 1 (and may still be). Even though 454 freqs are not licensed in the normal fashion, they are licensed for that site by virtue of a market area license. they could have replaced 454.075 with 422.8375 as LCN 1, but more than likely they just added 422.8375 as an additional LCN. Please see if you can figure out what the LCN is for 422.8375.

Same applies for 464.8125 on Findlay. It's not odd that they might have multiple control channels. Most of these systems do. We'll need to know what the LCN is for 463.2375 before we can add it. It is highly doubtful that 463.2375 has actually replaced 464.8125 as LCN 1. Instead, they probably added 463.2375 as a new LCN. We just need to know what LCn it is.

Dave,

Remember that if you sit on the control channel of a site long enough, DSDPlus will display all of the LCNs / LSNs in use. Of course, it won't display what those frequencies are. But if possible it would be useful if your DSDPlus can sit on the control channels of those two sites during a time of day/week where it will cycle through all of the active LCNs at least one. Then we'll know how many LCNs (frequencies) are actually in use on the site.

For instance, on Triconnex in my area, if I site on the Carrollton site long enough for it to cycle through all of the LCNs with traffic so that it returns back to LCN 1, I'll see that there are four LCNs (8 LSNs) in use.

Mike,

I was on the control channel for more than a sufficient amount of time to determine that it is LCN 1. As has been the case in the past for Hill Avenue there were 3 LCNs (6 LSNs). I just forgot to mention that in my first message today.

I'll advise later concerning this for the Findlay site.

Futronics Findlay Site 182-2 update..
After sufficiently monitoring this site for an amount of time to know that my results are good.

There are 3 LCNs, so there are 6 LSNs.

LCN 1 is 463.2375
LCN 2 is 462.0625
LCN 3 is 463.8750 [this used to be LCN 2]

There are no other LCNs active at this site.

These frequencies are all included on license WNDK593.

464.8125 is no longer active at this site.
