I've loaded this in my PSR-800 and after a small glitch I have everything up and running. I live less then a quarter of a mile from the Gloucester County boarder and I'm having major issues hearing them clear, I'm listing to Camden County nice and clear and I thought that both systems are basically the same. Am I wrong to assume that?

Some observations from an APX user: I turned it on while driving home from Bensalem, PA to Delco, PA via I-95 South. I was picking it up well on the overpass but garbled once I got onto 95. Once I got into Philadelphia it cleared up again and was good the rest of the way down. One thing I have noticed is that the modulation levels vary significantly. While the dispatcher has quite low audio some mobile users blow your ear drum out. I suppose they did not implement noise cancellation in the codeplugs. Bucks County did and the sound is very nice. All in all not a ad system. Of course, your results will vary if using a scanner, but just figured I would add my results.

Fireground Channels

Incase anyone was wondering, there is in fact 6 un-monitored Fire ground Channels for the new system. However they are conventional/digital layouts. I took the time and tracked all 6, included is a screenshot with how I programmed it on my scanner. These channels as I said are not monitored by the county, and they don't run off the antenna sites so they're only good for about a half mile in radius since they just work from radio to radio only, but I feel if your near the scene they are important to have as the County has asked for everyone to operate on them to avoid jamming the Fire 1-6 main channels.

I mean unless you're close to the incident you're not going to hear them I don't believe they're repeated

MilAir, What feed are you broadcasting? We have been trying a few phone apps and been unsuccessful or hit or miss. Any help would be great.

What freq's are the conventional 1-6 that's not digital? Would they be the same just Analog?

I believe they are only digital, not analog at all...i'm still not a hundred percent familiar with this system, but they were discovered using a conventional mode, but are digital channels, obviously no encryption and not repeated...good for about a half mile or so.

FIRE 1-6 on Bank A are "On System" digital. Bank B FireGround 1-6 are "Off System" digital. Bank B 10-15 are the Camden County equiv Fireground 1-6 conventional.

That make sense! There might even be a chance that those Analog are Camden County's Freq for mutual aid purpose. Just a guess, they also could be the Digital Freq's in Analog mode.
