Working with the Uniden SDS100 and the mobile GPS attachment connected inside car , there is a small black box and a large black box witch one is meant to be put in window ? The small one or the large one For optimal operation of the GPS or is it both ?

... not to butt in but if the smaller one is the receiver the larger is the antenna? (It’s the antenna you want in the windshield.)
Did you mean to say “antenna” when you stated receiver?
The smaller should sit on the dash or attach to the windshield. There is an unboxing video I found by doing a search for Uniden BC-SGPS.

Whatever works... As long as the GPS isn't obscured from the satellite signal ...
